Kudos Chef! Ang galing mo ihandle ung accident, and gusto ko ung line mo "It's part of the game" Kung may ganito kang mindset bago mag start ang race ibig sabihin prepared ka sa kahit na anong mangyari sa race maganda man or pangit. Galing Chef! Salute sa attitude mo!
very well said and good performance tinapos mo yung race someday makapunta ako dyan sa lugar mo at maktikim ng food saan nga ba yung resto mo dyan sa pampangga?
Shit happens but you took it like a champ. Buti nalang ayos ka and your bike chef. Looking forward to more races and hopefully less accidents. Keeps safe sir.
Had a lot of experiences like that in my more than 2 decades of racing. You just have to push on, parted yan ng laro. The worst experience I had was an MTB marathon race in Pangasinan where I lost my bottle immediately very early in the race in one of the rocky technical sections na hindi ko na pansin. Sama ng feeling pag nakikita mo na yung mga nilagpasan mo before, nilalampasan ka na para kang nakatali sa poste just few kms before the finish line. 😅
Buti medyo mganda ing bagsak mo psps. Ndi tlga msiwasan ang aksidente. Gya nyan nadamay k lng. Kya punutok ung kilay nung unang sumemplang tumama sa front wheel mo. Ingat lagi psps
Glen, God was both protecting you. Just imagine kung napuruhan mo talaga yaong siklista na bumagsak sa harap mo. He could have died or paralyzed, because, based on your uploaded footage, diretso ang bisikleta mo sa ulo niya!! In your case you could have broken a clavicle, dislocated a shoulder or both. But you did the most important thing in any bike crash, check yourself and check your bike and if there is another party involved make sure that other person or persons is/are safe. Whatever happens, your safety and the safety of your fellow cyclist is the most important factor. I have always believed that cycling is 99% mental and 1% physical. Perhaps that is an over exaggeration on my part. But ALL the preparations and planning that you subjected yourself into are mental, the end result being you are at your best mental and physical condition. Unfortunately, as Bob Dylan so insightfully, said, you made your best preparations and then, "Life Happens." It happens to all of us. But that does not mean that in any setbacks your life stops. To paraphrase a famous insight made by Albert Einstein, about this journey called, life. Just like riding a bicycle, if you fall, you could either quit and go home or check your condition, and if you feel good, stand up and pedal again, regain your balance and keep on moving. The rest is basically God's blessing and protection. Stay safe. Maraming salamat!!
