if one could choose where to crash the track is 99% of the time the safest place. You're wearing all the gear, nothing to slam into and medical staff at the ready. Glad your okay and can't wait to see more of the vids you put out.
Awesome video per usual! Sorry about the crash, You’re pretty spot on correct in your crash analysis; once the butt comes off the seat too far & the chest & elbows don’t collapse you start to hold up your upper body weight through your arms which translates to unwanted input on the bars. You also had the throttle cracked open since the corners exit was near so the front wheel was barely even loaded if any; you can see how the front end is fighting front grip & input vs body placement when the bars twitched @ 15:01, add in the little bumps in the corner & the front wheel slowly pushes until it collapses; I noticed that your butt kept rising up of the seat mid corner a few times from the gyaatt cam, try to move a little less off the seat for now & focus on the lower body fundamentals. Welcome to the track life baby🤙🏾🤛🏾 🏁🏍️💨
shit, this is the most comprehensive breakdown of his lowside. Are you a coach? i went down earlier this year for the exact same reason, so i'm correcting my bad habits.
@@VinWeiLee27171 Thank you! that was my intention haha. I’m an A group Rider, not a coach but I have crashed more than I can count on & off the track; you eventually start to figure out how & why by learning from others & your own mistakes. I crashed just like this on the street about 4 years ago.
I'm glad you're okay! You can always replace a bike - not your life. Thanks for sharing what happened so we can avoid these mistakes. In the end, YOU are what makes these videos special. The fancy bikes are a plus but in the end we are here for your storytelling, cinematography and your creativity. Can't wait for the videos you have planned in the future. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
Glad you’re alright mate! It’s all part of it, you’re officially a better rider now haha ;) and yeah like you said you moved your CG by hanging out too much reducing the load on tyres and hence traction. Can’t blame you tho that bike gets you excited!
looking good tho, track days are a lot of fun. if i was to guess you are correct about the butt, but i think it was the body shift mid turn, it upset the suspension and when it rebounded you lost some contact patch on the front tire, then grip follows
i respect youtuber who can man up to their mistakes and LEARN from them! from all possible outcomes, this was the best. bit scratched up. in a year you will look back and laugh about it. well done. 🤙🙌🙏
I would say something you might already know. Judging by your body position, you apply too much pressure on the handlebar, which will result in some difficulty leaning into the turn. I think the final blow is you trying to drag your knee mid-turn, sudden change of the CG of the bike causes you to lose the rear tire. Glad to see you walked off the track, mate! Keep Riding!
Been following Inarifilms for awhile, always knew he was good vibes, love to see you both enjoying this passion together! Thank you for sharing this moment, a lot to learn from it, and quality content as always! Comeback stronger!
Fantastic resolution and camera angles. Really enjoyed the video up until the crash and pleased you're OK. Your assessment is spot on about being a bit crossed up with the upper body and arse too far off. Track's the best place to learn and very addicitive
great content bro, keep it up. and sorry about the track mishap. but that Monster 1200 on the track with you was Sick, i love em. You should also get a Monster 1200 and u make even more mind blowing content and footage.
nice riding 🤙 good thing is you are ok to ride again , the important thing is you gained an experience . unfortunately there is no track near by where i live , and i have no truck to tow the bike if anything ever happened ; but otherwise i would love to get a track oriented bike some day .
Glad to see you are fine. One important thing you should have done differently is letting go of the bike once you go down. It can cause serious harm if it starts to flip and you are next to it.
Great video mate, the crash break down was pretty accurate. Your body position becomes increasingly crossed up throughout the corner as you move your bum across further into the corner. It looks like you're too far off the seat to start with, even in other clips, which will translate into too much bar grip. You want to hold on through your legs to allow the steering to correct itself as you go. Focus on keeping your legs locked into the tank butt in position(one cheek off) and using your upper body to move you around the bike! Hope to see you out there in the future the track is great fun and SMSP is a good one.
Let me know if you go in the future to SMSP or One Raceway in golburn. Happy to do some laps with you. St George Summer night series is on again great opportunity to see some racing at Sydney motorsport park
Upper body is one, but it doesn't cause the crash. It was because you were on throttle accelerating and giving more lean angle at the same time. Changing position middle corner didn't help as well. Break/slow to the apex of the corner adding more lean angle. At the apex switch to accelerating and straighten the bike. Glad you are ok!
Hard to watch knowing the inevitable was going to happen... Glad you didn't get hurt and to be honest bike looks pretty good considering. Hope you get everything fixed asap, we need more content :)
NEVER hold to the bike when you loose control, you could have broke your hand, the bike was over your leg at one point and you could have end up with worst injuries. Thanks god you are alright and it didnt escalate, but take that into consideration, let the bike go and push yourself away ASAP so you dont hurt yourself with the bike.
Looks like you slid off the seat too much, didn't have that solid contact point with your outside leg anymore and tried to hold yourself onto the bike with the bars and unsettled the front. Glad you're okay!
very interesting glad you noticed the body position was strange at the time of the crash because i noticed that immediatly, strange one glad your all good tho
Glad to see you’re relatively intact.. and didn’t come off near cliffs 😉 Why does your windshield camera have what looks to be an elastic band? Those shots seem so steady.. mine wobble like anything and I was wondering is the band the secret sauce? Keep up the excellent content! 👍
Idk if i can judge you brother but as it appears you have maxed out the lean and there was a little wobble on the handle bar before the crash, it seemd you may not get back up from that lean and you crashed, glad your safe and sound, always loved your content!
Hey, what a coincidence, yesterday while I was riding home, I crashed for the first time, a bike suddenly made a u-turn in front of me so i didnt have no other choice other than to swerve to not hit the guy, the road was slippery which caused my bike to slip due to the sudden turn, I was wearing full gear an I think i handled the situation pretty well considering my helmet isnt even grazed (i made to sure to not hit my head on the ground), my bike doesnt have much damage either cause of the crashguard/slider, thankful that everything went okay cause that kind of crash could have ended much worse.
Glad ur safe brother! From a learning perspective I’m still a bit confused on how u went down even after the explanation. I get that more lean=more risk but were you scraping peg at that point or did the bike give out solely because of body position?
YO DUDE! This happens to the pros so it just means you were trying to find that extra inch of greatness! At 15:00 all seems well and then at 15:01 you here a scrape so maybe the pegs caught the ground and sent you off? I'm just putting the blame on the bike :P
Not a track expert or anything, you were leaned over by a lot with the lack of countersteer resulting in losing the front. (Correct me if im wrong) Great video nonetheless. Keep it up 🫶
ey... happened to me too. First track day, slid out infront on the spectators💀 I was just too low on my R3. It has so skinny tires, and i'm so small i can't really get off the bike in corners
What was ur rider aid settings? Traction control off or u set it to minimum? Since it's ur 1st time on track should hv set everything to maximum to play safe
Which tires were you riding with? i believe the reason for the crash could be: - body position (your upper body still in the middle of the bike - think abut biting your hand. that way you can visualize it easier. and your butt should only be half way off the bike) - tire just not good enough (which one were you riding with?) - too much gas for the angle you can see that you still were accelerating while getting more and more lean angle you can keep your speed while getting more lean angle but you shouldnt increase it only increase speed when getting less angle
Do you think the the guy overtaking you maybe broke your rhythm? It looks like it made you change your line initially, then maybe you were pushing a bit harder to stick with him? That's definitely how i can see myself going for a slide on the track.
I’m not convinced it was your body position (not perfect as it was). Looks almost like your foot or peg clipped on the inside. Equally don’t know if you might have touched the brake when you felt a loss of traction (notice the light comes on a fraction of a second before you slide out) just as you are adding the most lean.. I’ve never crashed and it’s the reason I don’t go to the track (can’t afford it) - so fair play for being willing to take the risk - and even more respect for doing so at the track!
Yeahh I can see what you mean, my foot or peg didn’t touch though and I didn’t hit the brakes… so that makes me wonder maybe the brake touched I’m not sure though.
Hey Jay, im planning on getting my first road bike (I own a dirt bike already), and I was wondering if I should get the Kawasaki Ninja 400 or the ZX4RR. I love the ZX a lot but its a bit pricy. I'm just wondering if you can give me your thoughts on what one I should get. I would be mainly riding on the street and highway.
Low side crash, you could lean more but your front tires doesn't enough traction maybe your are using too much PSI. You should maybe trail brake next time

Looks like you maxed the bikes lean angle (front tire). Hang off the bike more to then lean the bike less and it keeps your tires in the grip zone.
ey... happened to me too. First track day, slid out infront on the spectators💀 I was just too low on my R3. It has so skinny tires, and i'm so small i can't really get off the bike in corners

Everything set to max, traction control set to max. I just messed up🥲
Whelp guess im doing track next year
You killed it idk what happened.
Which tires were you riding with?
i believe the reason for the crash could be:
- body position (your upper body still in the middle of the bike - think abut biting your hand. that way you can visualize it easier. and your butt should only be half way off the bike)
- tire just not good enough (which one were you riding with?)
- too much gas for the angle
you can see that you still were accelerating while getting more and more lean angle
you can keep your speed while getting more lean angle but you shouldnt increase it
only increase speed when getting less angle

The 54th second😍
why do they have rocks on the track
u changed body position mid turn which upset the suspension which then caused the bike to loose grip.
It looked like you leaned too far and hit your exhaust pipe. Its hard to tell exactly what caused the front to wash out.
I heard a scrape before you went over almost like your peg or your pipe or something or your knee
How did you get firstperson view without camera on helmet? :D
I think you just upset the bike. The 360 makes the angles look off. But there's also the question of tyre pressure etc especially it being so warm i think you said it was like 30c?
from what i can see its a typical error. the decisive one was just accelerating while adding lean angle (especially through the bar). Other contributing factors: changing BP while already going over bumps, instead of letting the bike adjust to the bumps you give it even more input to handle and then additionally acceleration, you were practically begging for it to happen. this already messed with the suspension and afterwards you add lean angle and accelerate more which just isnt possible. quick input: you didnt even have to change BP to begin with it looked good enough.
