not a very 100% work guide but it has the foundation. you gotta be careful when you said "you can use any armor" cause i did mine with the golden armor and it slowed my Lucio by a huge hand on his balls. those who didn't have Odin can use 2-H Dragon. I used the Producer's Bow Tie (or anything that can boost his AGI) in armor slot and i level'd Lucio's LB to 15. also, i use the same fully-leveled MR VCs. my Lucio have Luminous Conditioning at 15 and Illumed Swordsmanship at MAX as his support ability and of course Aura of Light as his reaction ability. so in turns of order, i Revitalized > Astrius buffs and moves > Light's Blessings > Astrius moves closer > Crescentic Break (should CRIT here) > Lucio's LB (it should be your turn again) and move to the far left > Astrius should move left too w/o attacking > (his health should be low than 50% here) gets close to him and hits hard with any ability that triggers his courage > Astrius hits > Luminiscent Arc for the finishing touch great video btw, thanks
I forgot to mention you have to have 90+ agi, most people with issues didn't reach 90 agi because or resonance or other things, should have been more thorough, tnx for pointing that out.
He hits me with moves from 7 tiles away. and he does about 50% more dmg as you're taking. I do need to work on resonance with my esper so doing that atm to see how things go. Finally beat it, had over 7k hp but only 88 agi. My attacks were doing around 6-10k to him and I still lost a few times because of how hard he hits.
It could be helpful to know what's your issue, someone else followed the guide but it didn't work for him cause he didn't have the required agility to double, so where you do you die and how?
@@KurmHazel you can background repeat some story missions or you can use the resonance key, it takes 10 keys to go from 1 /10to 10/10. If you don't have bells you can use anything else that gives agi up.
Light blessing gives crescent break the ability to raise AGI on a Critical hit, check if you crit, if you didn't you won't get the agi boost, also try to boost your agility through items and sub vc like secret orders or the chocobo vc.

@@laurentdubus3655 Well, agility is boosted by the bells, but also by odin resonance, which is maxed out so lucio gets all the additional stats from the esper, such as agility. Before crescentic break my lucio has 91+ agi. is your resonance maxed out? For abilities i have illumed swordmanship and the holy knight something.

I cannot help you if you cannot specify why you cannot follow the guide. Do you have 90+ AGI ? That's a requirement to double with the crescentic break, bravery 97? resonance with your esper at 5/5 ? bells? Board maxed out?
Thanks for the guide! It really helped. Got it! On about my 10th attempt, with very poor gear, esper, VCs. (My best weapon was a N rarity Broadsword with 42 ATK) I ended up using Saintly Wall after a few turns into the fight which seemed to help a lot on reducing the incoming damage. In fact, I didn't take any damage one of the times that he used his limit break. Maybe it was nullified? Avoided? I dunno. But then I'd need to kite him all the way around the map as I used Saintly Healing. Then once back to mostly full health I resumed distanced attacks. Which is when he was low on AP anyway. Luminous Grace was also helpful. I leveled it up to lvl 10.

"This is REALLY easy" says the guy who has the exact tools he needs to clear it no problem. No sh*t it's going to be easy if you have all the right stuff... On a more serious note: It seems unreasonable to expect everyone to have access to "pay-to-win" equipment, VC's, and espers, in order to be able to clear a quest. I don't have 90+ agility on my character, no. And I have no way to get that much agility, either. I don't have Odin, I have no idea how to get Odin (because the game doesn't tell you and the internet isn't much better), and I don't currently have access to any agility-boosting armor, or any reliable source to get it (to my knowledge). I don't have Xiza anywhere near maxed out - in fact, it's going to take me another 174 days of doing her quest three times EVERY DAY (assuming one shard drop per run), to max limit break her. I managed to find two Vision Cards (main + sub) that boost my agility, but even then, I can only get it to 78. I'm struggling to see any possible, much less achievable, way to reach the levels that are apparently mandatory in order to clear this. I wouldn't call that "easy", in any way, shape, or form. It's easy if you already have access to everything the game has to offer. Now, I'm sure there's technically a way for me to be able to clear this quest with what I currently have access to, if I spend a few hours troubleshooting and experimenting. That, however, isn't really the point. The point is, it is in no way easy, unless you already have everything you need. The guy with the N rarity broadsword who managed to do it isn't proof that it's easy; he's proof that it's technically possible, if for some reason you take zero damage from the enemy's biggest attack.
you can use beginner's tickets to get her, plus there are many AGI boosting items now, for instance phoebe TMR gives you 5 agi, slap some speed truststones and it's good enough, access the farplane archive to background repeat gear. Kitone's TMR gives agi, and many more. It's not easy for a week one account, but we're talking UR unit used in PVP even today.

I actually did just manage to clear it, with a tankier setup (paladin subclass, and some tricky timing with buffs and such), but that's very helpful all the same. I've actually had the account for quite a while, and it's not a week 1 account by any means, but I've been a very casual player, and have taken a few fairly extended breaks. I would consider rerolling for the new player goodies... but that would mean both giving up my limited colab units (specifically the Persona 5 and Fullmetal Alchemist ones), and wasting all the effort I've put in up until now.
I got Odin on starting rolls, but I imagine someone who didn't reroll until getting a good start might suffer. The sword was also in beginner's shop, +5 for 500 vis but it also can be farmed. There are a lot of slash and light cards and I got different ones and my Lucio was underleveled, I need to try with Ifrit and see if a F2P esper helps. Resonance is canceled now thankfully, most pointlessly weird thing to grind.
I've completed this quest already and lucio is 120 with the weapon and ultimate, i don't think i can remake the guide, i am raising a new account out of boredom so i might look into it.

do try to check if your resonance with the esper is at 10, if he doesn't follow the way he moves in the video there are some variables that are different and will make the AI behave differently. Make sure everything is similar to my setup.
nobody does, he's broken, but other than that you can check if your bravery is 97, if your defensive skills are at level 20, and maybe a solid shield based armor, check also your resonance with your esper, those hp you get will help you survive, if anything get some slash resistance, it's not an easy fight, as it should not be, it's the end of the story after all.
Nearly useless guide, if the one have so many specific VC maxed out, esper maxed out, and max resonance too, he can beat that mission without any guides. And equipment DOES matter, because you have to maintain high agi!

Of course everyone isn't going to get it as they don't have required set up with cards, try making guides that players have access to

agility, check your resonance with the esper, each resonance level gives you 10% of the esper stats, up to 100%, also check my equip.
