This is a rather nostalgic classic level crossing for me, and it's a shame to see the long GWE barriers go. That said, these new SPX barriers suit the LEDs more - the crossing was a lot more in its time when the halogens were there, added to that rather handsome-looking bracket just across from you, and I did prefer the crossing like that, and it's always been unique to me being the first level crossing with full barriers I ever visited which had alarms on the exit side! I also quite like the curved set-up and the angle the level crossing is at as it kinda reminds me of St. Denys/Adelaide Level crossing in Southampton which still has those old barriers along with bells! Fab video! Also interesting to see how I filmed back then - I've found it much easier to just record the whole closure nowadays! 👍😁
@@pigeonsandtrafficlights8999 I spent a lot of time here when I was younger and have fond memories of what the level crossing was like back then - it was better then than it is now, although the new barriers kinda suit the LED lights here.
Thanks! The barriers look quite nice indeed. And yeah, the situation close to the mainline on a tight curve does remind me of St Denys Adelaide crossing 😎
Southern, My favorite train. I have no idea who the 3 people who disliked are and have no idea why they disliked it, I hope they just misclicked! because this is a good video

Yeah, I hope they accidentally misclicked! D:
Recorded 6 days before my birthday :3 the new barriers fit neatly but I still liked the GWE more
Yeah, they look neat. I'm not too disappointed about the old GWE barriers.
