And in her co power animation she tosses it in the air and catches this massive tank shell like it's nothing.
I like that you can actually tell that is a tank shell she's holding, and not a giant pencil.
It was always pretty clear it was a tank shell.
And you can actually tell she's a girl, in the original game I had NO idea she was a girl until I got to her stages

If each CO theme had an alternate title, I am pretty sure this one would be “Maiden of Metal”. It was really hard not to start head banging when the melody first kicked in. Holy fuck I love this!

Jess theme always has been my absolute favorite from the franchise. This version sounds so clean and the scratches with the drums are on point.
Perhaps the main melody sounds a bit weird tho. The musical elements such as the bass and guitars are less powerful compared to the Dual Strike version
The main melody is all dominated by the same guitar, making it sound way more flat than before. It's the main reason I'm actually not a fan of this one despite it being one of my favorite themes in the originals.

I wish the guitars were at the forefront more like in the DS. The drums were a bit too overpowering and kinda drown out her theme, but it's not something an equalizer could fix imo. Still better than the GBA version if you ask me.
@@mikidelasislas I think the mixing is just bad. Take the last part of the song where the synth and the guitars play the same riff. In the original, you could clearly hear both instruments AND the bass during this outro. Here you can only really hear the synth and the disk scratches, and the bass is almost completely absent. In fact, I'd argue the bass being toned so far down is what really hurts this version. In the original, the bass really thumps. That dude is jamming on that bitch and practically soloing during the entire middle of the song when the song goes into that lull. During the intro, it almost sounds like there's two basses playing. in this version, the bass is conspicuously absent, and the drums aren't as loud. In exchange, the synth and the disc scratches take over and the song just has less energy as a result.
I suppose that its fitting for Jess, who isn't a great CO in AW2, one of the worst depending on who you ask actually, that her remake theme is kind of a letdown. Similar to how Jess' D2D powers really let her down compared to her CO Powers which are bonkers and, as we would see in DS, would be broken with only small changes.

Hmmm... Dunno about this one. Starts really good, but I feel like it fizzles out a bit as it gets to the end compared to the original.

Pretty good remix of my favorite theme. Though the drums overpower the guitar a bit, and the synth piano at the start is a little off. Still love it.

Fighting tanks with tanks with Jess is suicide. Just either get long range units or bombers to beat her. Also her CO Powers make her mega tanks rearmed and ready to kill tanks in one shot again and again.
This theme goes hard. It's personally second to Andy, but it's friggin' METAL.

I remarked that Jess' theme sounds like it'd be out of Red Alert, the new track sounds like something out of Red Alert 2 since it sounds a bit more urban.
Jess' theme but her industrial military complex has adopted CAD, 3D printers, and robots (still cool, but very different feel)

I appreciate that they went more on the industrial aspect since in the GBA and DS versions they drop it after the guitars really get going, but I do wish the guitars and bass were a bit more prevalent as they were in DS. Still overall an improvement over the OG which I think is the weakest version of the three with its guitar.
I love Jess's theme. It sounds so industrial. I just hope we get a Dual Strike DLC. Jess was kinda bad in AW2 because her infantry are weaker and that makes fighting over caps hard but she was amazing in Dual Strike.

Not a fan of the synths used for the intro melody, but the supporting guitars are top notch.
Yeah the bass riff was soo much better in the original, not to mention the disc scratches ugh. Edit: The disk scratches were always there, but I have to come back to the bass guitar being toned out so much. In the original the scratches really added that industrial undertone and lined up really well with the bass solo goin on at the same time, but in the remake, the bass is almost completely replaced by synth instead and the scratches are just upfront and center and it blows.
I feel the opposite; the highly Kraftwerk-like synth beat at the start is my favorite part of the track now.

They could have used more machine sound parts kinda like the home depot theme
I was expecting this to slap way harder than it did. The GBA version popped this just sounds ok

Her original art had her carrying both a tank shell and a jerry can (she still has the Jerry can in her CO power animation), kinda implies that she's the sort of CO who doesn't consider herself to be above the soldiers she commands and is willing to get her own hands dirty and help out with tasks like resupplying vehicles etc.
Also it makes her look hot. Women carrying heavy objects with ease is hot.
I don't really like what they did with her theme in the Reboot Camp. If you really want to hear a banger Jess theme cover, check out qwertyGUY's rendition of it.
Not a fan of her redesign but her theme still kicks ass
unfortunately not a great remix but its still a good theme. The notes are a bit off and I miss the crunchy GBA speakers.
hmmm... i prefer the old one, It doesn't have that "industrial" music vibe and it doesn't have the drop that goes from electro music to electric guitars.
The Bass slap sound is kinda weak. It's still good, but I prefer the AW2 and Dual Strike theme of her.

I don't know how to describe it, but the original AW GBA theme has this many kind of "mechanical" sounds to it, the most prominent is Jess, but the reboot definetly made that vibe gone. Man, even though Jess theme is one of the best back in the OG... the new one sucks...

Disappointed, the DS version is like caged beast, constraining then breaking out. The new remix did not reach the level.

It is not off key it's a different combination of notes playing altogether. If you are familiar with music I can explain here.
Original goes fa do re and this one goes do re re. It's glaring to me because it lacks the flare the original had
0:51 here there is also clearly a note missing to the original music script. Sol is missing in this combination of notes. The worst thing about it is it does it correctly a few seconds prior
