Restoring wetlands is precisely the opposite. Restoration results in immediate benefits in sequestering carbon and providing significant wildlife habitat, rather than diminishing the wetland. I am building a UA-cam playlist titled Ecology that focuses primarily on restoration projects that are low impact, but that provide some mix of carbon sequestration through rejuvenated plant life, restored river flows through the construction of catchments, restoration of healthy native grasslands by rotating cattle through different locations throughout the grazing season and similar projects.
