The singer, Asami, spent more than 15 years studying ballet. Hence her flowing movements and her little dance in the middle of this performance. I can't think of any other band that blends classical piano, acoustic guitar, metal and ballet in the same song.

The song was written by vocalist Asami with the help of Mao, an external collaborator since the formation of LOVEBITES. There are several songs written by the two, but another metal ballad masterpiece is 'Epilogue'.

LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
    Veiling fears The emptiness inside
    Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
    A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
    A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
    One life ends
    And one life begins
    Evanesce
    To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
    A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
    A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
    I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
    I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more

This is really mega masterpiece of Ladies from Electric Pentagram studio album. All is perfect vocal, dance, outfits, mood, solos, lyrics, bas, drums with suplement of Spanish guitar, piano and nostalgia. Since Electric Pentagram was coming out in the winter, the singer wanted a sad winter ballad. Asami knew she wanted to include acoustic guitar on the track. Despite stating that acoustic guitar is more difficult than electric, since the slightest mistake will be heard, Miyako said she was able to record the solos quickly. But at the concert this part plays Midori. How versatile are these Ladies and complement each other.

Great reactions thank you :) This song is a classic master piece, written and played by geniuses. All the ladies are just so unbelievable in what they do. And Asami's dance in the middle was so beautiful and followed by Midori's wonderful solo, and then the duel lead guitars, this has to be one of their best, and believe me, that is a hard thing to do, every thing they play is perfection itself.

Vocalist Asami used to be a ballet dancer. After that, he became an R&B singer and started singing heavy metal for the first time with Love Bites.
Guitarist Miyako used to be a classical pianist. After that, he taught himself the guitar and is now one of the top guitarists.
No heavy metal band with ballet dancers and pianists exists other than Love Bites.

Thank you so much for appreciating Lovebites. 😊
10:44 Welcome to The Lovebites Effect. 😊Any song of them is their best song from some specific perspective. 😊 I just heard the words ("That is the best Lovebites song that I heard so far", or similar lines) so often in only 5 weeks, that the proof just has to be in their musical diversity and creativity. 🐺 And with their new bass player Fami (and her musical genius), I wish for even more interesting songs and arrangements. 😊
To me, Lovebites are currently the most versatile Metal band in the world, and Iron Maiden are the best storytelling/theatrical Metal band in the world. In my playlist, they live a peaceful co-existence. 😁 Therefore, "Up the Irons!", and "Long live Lovebites!" 🐺

Great reaction. Now you know why 20 people requested it. Good call with Dio, I was a big fan but I didn’t make the connection. Now I hear it. That’s appropriate because elsewhere I refer to Asami as the female Dio. Like RJ, she puts so much emotion into every single vocal line. “I sing as if it’s going to be the last song I sing”. Quote. Now please, tell me that’s a Bond theme song if ever there was one.

Asami (Vo) was originally an R&B and soul singer.
She had never listened to metal music at all, which she says was "music from another dimension.
To discover another of Asami's vocal talents in R&B and Soul, check out.
See 3E Song ("Edge of the World", "EPILOGUE", "Empty Daydream" all live)
    These songs are relatively slow.
However, one song develops like a 'Frozen Serenade'.
In LOVEBITES you can hear a wide range of metal genres.
It also confirms the wide range of their compositions, lyrics, arrangements and Asami's singing abilities.

How many true masterpieces are there in the history of rock? A dozen? Maybe twenty? I’m not talking about merely great songs. What separates masterpieces from merely great songs, is they tell a story, taking you through a range of emotions until they overwhelm you. For classical music fans, the model is Beethoven’s 9th symphony. For something shorter and more comparable to a rock song, think of Ravel’s “Bolero”. I would name “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “The End” by the Doors; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; the first side of “Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd; “Starless” by King Crimson; “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish… and maybe a handful more. Few rock groups have ever produced a masterpiece, and some of the greatest never managed it. Lovebites, in five short years, have given us several. For me this rivals “Swan Song” as their greatest.

I love the maids, they were my gateway into Japanese rock and metal, but since they call themselves hard rock, that's what I call them and leave it at that. I'm not a big genre guy, especially since so many bands are blurring genre lines. Plus I don't like to talk about other bands in the comments of LOVEBITES videos since a lot of LOVEBITES fans see that as an invitation/excuse to shit on the other band for the crime of not being LOVEBITES even though I'm certain that's the last thing the ladies of LOVEBITES would want.
All that said, for me "Frozen Serenade" is the pinnacle of LB's catalog. Miyako's switch from guitar to piano to guitar again is so smooth and masterful that I would love a cam on her just to see the speed and efficiency of her movements, especially since she was pregnant at this time. Haruna is as steady and precise and tireless as always, what a drummer she is, and Miho does some really good work. I love Asami's vocals on this one since she's the focal point of all of the atmosphere in the early song. Midori is my favorite part of this. Her initial guitar solo is brilliant and hits me right in the emotions. Fantastic song that never gets old, and the only thing I've ever seen them say about writing it is that Asami wrote it because their third album was coming out in the winter and she wanted a winter song to be on it.

Band-Maid are alright, but I like Lovebites a lot more. Band-Maid have a really commercial sound and all their songs are rather short. Too short, in fact. I'm also not too much into pop rock. Lovebites play faster, more intense and more technical guitar-focused music. That's way more my speed.

@@1970Phoenix Not saying that it's the case for all of their songs. They definitely have some straight rockers as well. Pop rock is pretty accurate in my eyes though and that's also one of their tags on rateyourmusic for example. Alongside j-rock, hard rock and power pop. So I don't think that calling them pop rock is that much of an unpopular opinion, really. Also I don't know, I just don't like the vibe a good chunk of their music gives off as it feels a bit juvenile to me. Calling it bubblegum rock was harsh though, I'll give you that.
