Patrick Moore on Radio Shuttleworth in 1998

Patrick was a guest on Radio Shuttleworth (Radio 4) broadcast on 1998 November 17 at 6.30 pm. The character John Shuttleworth and his fictional Sheffield family radio station was a creation of Graham Fellows (aka the bizarre pop singer Jilted John of the 1970s!) The resultant shows were surreal and wacky to say the least. Many thanks to Bob Marriott of the BAA for sending me this high quality recording.

Patrick Moore, the man who calculated Apollo whatever trajectory to get to the moon, and get back again. And the first person to swallow a fly live on BBC tv. Apparently. Brilliant! I hope you are with your love sweetheart xxx
