"Finally I got to this town that claims to have a really good medicine" *Ends up being killed infinite times by werewolfs, Gigantic snake mutants, Human/Alien hybrids, primordial gods and either trapped in a dream, becoming a squid or having a really bad hungover awaking in the middle of the town*
It's sad but sweet in a way. As a Great One, Kos cannot truly be destroyed, but she was indeed separated from this plane of existence. Orphan of Kos was never alive, all Great Ones being unable to bear children that are not stillborn. Yet Orphan's spirit lingered through the curse, so what we fight is something of a hypothetical being chained down to a realm where abstract concepts can become tangible. Killing his body releases his spirit from the looping nightmare, hopefully reuniting him with Kos.
@@ashamefulgamer1578 the game's lore is always open to interpretation, but this one we actually know to be true, the game calls the orphan "Great one: orphan of kos" so he's a great one and im betting his mother was too, as well as item descriptions calling her "a dead great one washing ashore" and the only "really powerful beings" in the game are great ones, definition or not
Letting go of the past is the only way to free yourself from grievance. The orophan finally accepted the tragedy of his mother and let go of his misery and now his spirit swims peacefully in the endless ocean.
He's got a scream that it seems to me Reminds me of a hunter's dream Where everything was as red as a Paleblood Sky Now and then when I see his face He takes me away to that accursed place And if I stare too long, I'd probably Frenzy and die Whoa, oh, oh Sweet child o' Kos Whoa, oh, oh, oh Sweet love of Kos
Was hoping for a remixed version of "Sweet Child O' Mine" but this is cool too. I just killed the Orphan for the first time yesterday and didn't get this cutscene though so I'm pretty confused.
I just beat him for the first time today!!!! Literally we both struck blows at each other and i had a sliver of health left when he died (no blood vials either)
all's well that ends well :)
imagine being the hunter. just having to fucking clue what is ever going on

I think this has the perfect way of getting all of us to calm down from beating kos

I'm with the theory that Kos wasn't a Great One and was simply just an unusually powerful being.
@@ashamefulgamer1578well, considering he isn’t beast or kin, that could be true

Thought this was going to be a Guns N' Roses joke...
He's got a scream that it seems to me
Reminds me of a hunter's dream

He takes me away to that accursed place

Whoa, oh, oh
Sweet child o' Kos
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of Kos
Is so true though honestly, the Sea accepts everything, it does not judge.
Everything lays to rest within it.
Sweet Peppino, returned to the pizzeria....
yeah he is sweet for sure🤕
LOL oh yes, this child definitely wrecked the majority of us
Orphan of Kos was basically the bloodborne equivalent of the pitbull named cupcake
