OMG you probably seen and heard by now....EXOLs long awaited dream has come true, LAY was finally able to make Kyungsoo’s enlistment ceremony and when i saw the photos i really had to pitch myself to make sure i wasn’t dreaming *im still shocked* i couldn’t control my tears and i can imagine the overwhelming enjoy they must have felt seeing LAY there to send off one of his younger brothers Kyungsoo was special day for everyone even though Minseok couldn’t physically be there, he was still there in presence making it 0T9. I can’t express how long i’ve waited for the day when LAY was seen with his brothers again even if it’s for a day on top giving EXOLs several photos of him before sending D.O off to training! I could imagine him saying.... LAY: F*K, If china doesn’t like it too bad...i’m not about to miss out on another one of my brothers’ enlistment ceremonies 🤣 Me: Darn right, LAY! You let those greedy people your still part EXO and you’re going to be there when your brothers need you.
For any of us that know EXO, and especially Lay, "Honey" is kind of exactly what we would expect from him. This is just the sexy, cool kind of song and amazing choreography that Lay is known for. All the guys want to be him and all the girls want to be with him. When it comes to Lay's solo work he does it all himself -- he writes, composes and produces the songs (including the rap sections), he has a large part in choreographing the dances and he has a hand in coming up with and directing the MVs. There really is almost nothing he can't do. That's including learning English so he could make a crossover into the U.S. music market. "Honey" is another one of Lay's solo English songs and Its in English because I think it was a follow up to his previous album "Namanana". "Namanana" was a half English/half Mandarin album and it was his American debut release as part of his U.S. tour and promotions. if you remember, every Mandarin song on his "Namanana" album had an all English version. You heard Lay listening to his song "Give Me a Chance" on his headphones at the beginning of the "Honey" MV and that is one of his songs and MVs from his "Namanana" album. (Which, if you were paying attention, should have been a clue that this was another English song. LOL J/K a lot of people missed that fact when they first watched this MV.) Because Lay is not allowed to promote in Korea right now, SM has found a way to promote Lay as part of EXO's storyline by partnering with Lay to release English songs and to tie his MVs in with EXO's story. Everything EXO does, including several of Lay's solo releases (but not all of them), ties into the fact that he is a member of EXO -- its SM's way of making sure that even though he might not be able to work with the members right now, that they still make sure to show fans that his storyline and presence as part of EXO is still really important to both Lay and SM. Lay is one of the top dancers in the industry and its his solo work where he really gets to showcase what an amazing dancer he really is. He is the main dancer of EXO-M and he is the counterpart to Kai's role in EXO-K Kai and Lay are both main dancers, lead vocalists and sub-rappers in their EXO units. That is why most of the time when you see solo dance breaks in EXO concerts you will see Lay and Kai dancing together because they are 2 of the top dancers in the industry and they were meant to fill similar roles in their respective sub-units in EXO. To explain the story in the "Honey" MV, some fan theories say that the fact that the weather lady on the TV is talking about the changing weather and the pressure system could be a nod to the unsettled conditions within EXO's current storyline and how currently the members are struggling to distance themselves from the Red Force, etc.And because you hear her speaking with a British accent this might be a clue to tell us where Lay is right now within EXO's storyline, and it might explain why the other EXO members might be sending him messages -- as we see with the bee and the blackout, etc. Most of the members powers have weather and nature elements that could be affected by and affecting the weather around the world. Some theories say, the mechanical bee has been sent by either one or more of the EXO members or it could be sent by the Red Force. The bee is either a message or a warning sent to Lay (although I am not fully confident as to what that exact message is.) And I think, the fact that the bee passes through the glass, might be Kai using his power of teleportation to allow it to pass through it -- or more like, transported to the other side of the glass. And then the lights in the entire city go out as if in a blackout, which I think might be Baekhyun using his power which is the ability to control light. Also, I think its interesting that Lay has the power of healing, and honey is known for its natural healing and medicinal propitiates. And in parts of the MV we see Lay submerged in a pool of honey almost as if he might be using it to recharge and gain strength. I have no idea what this all means, but I just thought it was an interesting parallel. On the flip side, the story in the MV also is saying that Lay is a bee and he is looking for his "honey" that's why he is in a honey comb or in a pool of honey the whole time. Although I haven't really had time to fully analyze the story in "Honey's" MV, I can tell it has elements (especially the beginning) that have something to do with EXO's storyline. Did you notice that the spinning honey comb symbol in this MV is actually EXO's logo? The hexagon is EXO's symbol and if you pay close attention at that spinning honey comb you will see that it says EXO in the middle as it spins. So even as a solo artist, Lay and SM find a way to make sure that we never forget that he is part of EXO and that even if he isn't allowed to talk about the group, he makes sure to show just how important they still are to him. As you can see EXO's MVs are more complex then what you see on the surface and often -- although the stories in the MVs are loosely based on the lyrics -- many times the story in the MV and the lyrics in the song are two separate things. The lyrics don't necessarily have anything to do with the story in MV. Often EXO's songs are about being in love with a girl and wanting to be with her, but the story in the MV is about them working to complete their mission and to fight against the Red Force, etc. Everything EXO does has many layers and it has multiple means and messages.
Yixing is such an overachiever but you can't hate him for it coz you know he works really hard that he sleeps 4 hrs or less everyday. I remember one of the trainees in Youth with You said that he wishes for PD Zhang to get married so he won't get lonely when he gets home and Lay was all flustered and said "I will try my best!" Like he is sooo busy to be in a relationship. This guy's passion and dedication is just amazing.

It's really sexy, cool, attractive, beautiful and rich ... OMG when it came i literally died in every scene, i mean i’ve seen him shirtless before many times but never like this. My boy became a King Bee 🐝 conquering the Beehive! I personally don’t like rap at all especially western rap but our Lay does it so well even though he’s chinese but i love his chinese version better! I love and support my boy Lay to death but to be honest the outfits & english lyrics make the song too american but everything else in the MV and Lay were on point in every scene🙀. *He filmed this in a very luxurious penthouse suite in Seoul, South Korea where only the highest ranking people like the presidents, officials etc stay whenever they visit and our Prince Lay is one of those people!* It is all in english but please don’t that’s not what he’s talking about, ugh the song itself is so cringy, if wasn’t for my boy LAY i wouldve listened to this song because it gives others such a wrong idea what he’s saying when he says “I wanna taste that, honey” especially people with dirty minds! Its very disappointing that not allot of people notice the EXO logo within the honeycomb pattern b/c many stopped considering Lay as part of EXO. Even though he’s stated in several interviews and indicted EXO logo within his MVs to show people that he is still part of EXO and he doesn’t have plans on leaving at all. His english speaking has improved so much but you can still hear his cute broken english whenever he talks. This is his 4th comeback as a soloist! Hes one of the main dancers & vocalists of EXO, it has been about 3 years too long now since he started his solo work on top of having to do chinese related events and music festivals, etc for his country because the chinese from what ive read & heard over the years they don’t do the whole military thing so they have other ways to serve their country. (lol which means theyre basically stuck in China until they fulfill their required services).

OMG when it came i literally died in every scene, i mean i’ve seen him shirtless before many times but never like this. My boy became a King Bee 🐝 conquering the Beehive! I personally don’t like rap at all especially western rap but our Lay does it so well even though he’s chinese but i love his chinese version better! I love and support my boy Lay to death but to be honest the outfits & english lyrics make the song too american but everything else in the MV and Lay were on point in every scene🙀. *He filmed this in a very luxurious penthouse suite in Seoul, South Korea where only the highest ranking people like the presidents, officials etc stay whenever they visit and our Prince Lay is one of those people!* It is all in english but please don’t that’s not what he’s talking about, ugh the song itself is so cringy, if wasn’t for my boy LAY i wouldve listened to this song because it gives others such a wrong idea what he’s saying when he says “I wanna taste that, honey” especially people with dirty minds! Its very disappointing that not allot of people notice the EXO logo within the honeycomb pattern b/c many stopped considering Lay as part of EXO. Even though he’s stated in several interviews and indicted EXO logo within his MVs to show people that he is still part of EXO and he doesn’t have plans on leaving at all. His english speaking has improved so much but you can still hear his cute broken english whenever he talks. This is his 4th comeback as a soloist! Hes one of the main dancers & vocalists of EXO, it has been about 3 years too long now since he started his solo work on top of having to do chinese related events and music festivals, etc for his country because the chinese from what ive read & heard over the years they don’t do the whole military thing so they have other ways to serve their country. (lol which means theyre basically stuck in China until they fulfill their required services).
