"ENDLESS!!!!!!!!" My God, that one word wraps up the entire song beautifully. You can feel the frustration in that word the way it is said. By that point he is almost pleading and thats how it sounds. The emotion in that is why I like this song. He starts with soft and vulnerable vocals (this is his personal realization), second verse, a little stronger vocal (realizing not only does he not belong, none of us do and never did), second to last chorus before the key change thing (pleading with everyone who doesn't get it), Last chorus (just to get you use to hearing the key changed chorus), He dropped keys just to plan the word "endless" where the real message is (pleading with the listener to realize they are following the rules of someone who has no higher authority than any other human, status is no reason to be considered special). Thats what I took from the song. I am actually here because I am covering the song vocally and trying to get down how he said that word. All my vocals are spot on, its just that 1 word doesn't have the same level of power, not even using compression/distortion can get the same result. So My conclusion is he opened his throat waaaaaaay open to scream that word so it was clear. I've gotten close and thats how I got the closest. Eventually I'll get it. lol

I don't have plans to have a funeral when I die, but if I did, I'd want this song played. Not only is the melody beautiful, but the lyrics are so profound and in line with my thinking. For years I would have wanted 'the rain song' by Led Zeppelin played, but once I heard this song and understood the lyrics...no contest.

How I feel about having to live in society and by its rules. A lot of days I just wanted to run away and disappear because everything that people have put me through, my ex breaking my heart and putting me on the brink of madness, the people who I've trusted to stay with me just abandoning me when I needed them the most and just everything.
