FYI, there are AI services that content creators can use specifically for situations like this where they're either unable to film in a proper sound studio, or no longer have their voice due to illness.
I love Intuit as a company but their free cashflow has a giant black mark on it, SBC negates about 35%-40% on their FCF. That 10% per year average is much closer to 6%-7% which is way less appealing. I do see them benefiting a ton from AI but the FCF isn’t high enough to justify the huge SBC drag.
The great thing about Apple is, they never actually invest in these bubbles but everyone thinks they secretly are in the background, so Apple gets much of the benefit and not much of the downside. But they're expensive. Microsoft's a bad option; there's no way OpenAI will get away with taking donor money and using it to create an AI model exclusively for Microsoft. Plus, everything OpenAI does has a free competitors (Dall-E vs Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT vs Grok and Llama, etc.) Personally, I think a good AI company is ASML. They're quite expensive, but are likely to benefit from any increases in demand for semiconductors because they have a strong moat. (They manufacture the lithography machines which chip manufacturers such as TSMC, Intel and Samsung use.) TSMC's also a good option, because they also have a strong moat because their factories already exist so they don't need to spend a ton expanding and upgrading, whereas any competitor (Intel) would have to spend a ton to catch up (which Intel is trying to do, but I'm not sure if they'll succeed). I think Nvidia and ARM are bad options because they are heavily reliant on a single proprietary technology with an open competitor (Nvidia's CUDA vs OpenCL, and ARM vs RISC-V). An underappreciated option could potentially be Metals Exploration PLC (stock ticker MTL, on the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investments Market (basically a stock exchange for micro-caps)). Their net income mysteriously spiked in 2023 right in the midst of the AI bubble. They classified it as "unusual income / expense", which could be because they believe AI is a bubble; also, because they and investors don't believe that their earnings will continue, they have a P/E ratio of less than 1. And they could be benefitting from AI because they sell the metal used in all these chips, which TSMC buys and then puts through ASML's machines based on Nvidia's design to sell to Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon or an AI startup. Of course, this is assuming that the net income spike came from the AI boom; but that's a reasonable explanation. But they're not available on Trading212. But I could buy them through Hargreaves Lansdown or Fidelity.
Well, that ended up being a wild comment. How did you end up going from Apple to an obscure microcap mining stock with 3-4 years of life-of-mine left, where they mine gold doré. Weirdly, it actually looks semi-interesting too haha
I agree, it was covered in the Patrick Boyle video. Wasn’t it something to do with conflicts of interest of management with the company’s shrimp supplier?
Turbo tax uses a third party to process e file returns and they charge fees above the stated filing fees they charge. The amount is not disclosed when you file. I stopped using their services because of this.
You need to get a financial planner to aid diversify your portfolio to commodities index funds, digital assets etc, to provide illumination and guidance in the financial markets.
indeed, most people downplay the roles of financial planners until burnt by there mistakes. Productivity is optimized and keeping up to date strategies and analysis makes it more lucrative. I've been able to navigate the volatilities and scaled up 880k from 120k with professional guidance.
The funnel of free users needs to grow no matter what the end goal or most attractive user is for turbo tax. Cannot spin it positively. This reduces their optionality. The risk of investing in high P/E companies comes with the caveat of investors demanding perfection in these reports and this report was not perfect.
The hidden ai play is Nvidia. So many people doubted 1k was achievable and its blown right past it. The price will continue to soar with the combo of the upcoming split and the next earnings report.
yeah, that Rabbit AI device made zero sense when it came out.. why have yet another device for $199 when efficiency was already consolidating to one smart device. was a rather dumb invention.
Hey Joseph, don’t you think that the current rise of your restaurant stocks is due to higher inflation and ultimately less money in the people’s pockets to buy groceries which is why they go to one of them? In other words, it might be a temporary effect which will end any time inflation and interest rates cool down again..
How RUDE and disrespectful for Steve to cut off the host asking him a question!!! I don't care how smart you are but your character is so important!!!!
the idea is to look for stocks that have paid steady, increasing dividends for years(or decades), and have not cut their dividends even during recessions, speaking with a proper advisor can be very useful most times in getting the job done
When a company blows up, I don’t have FOMO; instead I always talk myself out of buying in because I figure it’s hit its high point already. I’ve been wrong so many times over the years, watching them go to new highs, so I went ahead and bought a bunch of NVDA late last year. Very happy I broke that habit. ;-)
Well, in my opinion, If you invested it right now (during the market’s downturn) you’d be buying at a low price which is highly recommended by my fa and based on past performances in the market in 2030 with the right coach you should have four and a half million in your portfolio sitting pretty.

I 100% agree with this and I’ve been holding strong with Apple. Apple, as usual, will be late to the party, but will be the one to execute AI in a way that will actually be useful to normal everyday people. They understand user experience better than just about anyone, and they already have the breadth of penetration into so many aspects of our lives - messaging, calendars, photos, payments.
What if the new disruption don’t need a phone anymore? Just an AI powered device that can access internet? We can connect without phone contract, we seriously don’t need a phone now as I hardly use my phone as a phone , majority is on WiFi on search and entertainment which seriously don’t need as phone. Apple still relevant all because of Apple ecosystem , not because of its phone. If some new disruption came to disrupt its ecosystem, I do think Apple is vulnerable for big disruption. Apple should disrupt their own iPhone market, it’s time to ditch the phone and completely move to a new AI powered device that not as bulky as iPad, but more function than the current Iphone.

No doubt making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential. Diversification is key.
Most people miss it but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you.
