Try turn it off, and then push both volume up and power or volume down and power at the same time till you see recovery mode. then look for reset or factory reset.
Hmmm... I just experimented with the C5L that I have and NO button combos with the Volume Up makes the phone go to the Android Recovery Menu. Only Volume Down + Power works for me.
