Have a question. My Tecumseh legend 3.8 1500 powermate pressure washer motor is on top and pump underside mounted. Pump his a drain plug. I drained all of the old oil. The dip stick on the motor was empty. So I put oil back in. It reads full. So I believe that the pump gets its oil from filling it from the top. Will that be correct. Thank you
My pump oil cap smokes within maybe 1 minute of usage. Also the machine doesn't sound like it used to. Ive changed both engine and pump oil, and I'm pretty sure they were filled correctly, but i was still having the pump oil cap smoke. I removed oil below the amount needed amount too and yet it still smokes up. Any idea what could be going on?
Question I bought a new one and let my workers set it up but 1 of them didn't know how to do I had left the job but he put more oil then he should of and the motor smells burnt but the power washer still works was only used for 1 hr what could I do to check if there's any damage done to it
Very rarely (on an engine like this) will too much oil ruin it. I would dump the oil to the correct level, remove (and likely replace) the air filter if it is soaked in oil and let it run until it stops smoking. There will be a good bit of oil throughout the system (and in the exhaust) but it should up and out within 30 minutes based on what I have seen.
@@35andRetired I did exactly as you said mine was a Simpson model and the filter wasn't soaked and I drained out oil to correct level and it's working properly thank you!
Dude, you are very well spoken! Thank you!
I appreciate that!

Howdy! I’m sorry to say I don’t know the answer to that.

Can you send me your model number? I need to look at the type of pump you have.
@35andRetired Sure, the Model is CA-2703-1MMH.
