I just ordered my mitts pattern today, I can't wait for the tutorial! This is a really lovely stitch aesthetically and I love that it's functional as well. It's so striking in the white on black!
We totally understand. We really did not know how to approach it because when we did searches it seemed to be found more readily with the historical stitch name......It is time for a new name, we agree!
Hands down the best faggoting the world has ever seen.
I love these tutorials! Thank you, Burnley and Trowbridge!
Very cool stitching! Thank you for posting!
I especially appreciated the tip to baste your pieces. I tend to handsew in my recliner, and I'd be fighting the gap the whole way.

Could we refer to it as Cretan stitch over a gap?
This was super interesting and very helpful. Thank you!
So it's basically similar to a herringbone stitch in principle, just open and without the stitching back. :-) Thank you!
Lovely faggoting, thank you very much!
I'm a little confused about how to finish the edges before you join them with this embroidery stitch.
usually just a narrow hem.
So it's basically like lacing up shoes 🤔
Super Cool!
