Eye Splice - Easy to follow - How to make an eye splice

Easy to follow, set by step of making an eye splice. How to make a permanent loop in a rope using an eye splice. Using an eye splice reduces the amount of stress that is put on the rope when under load. Perfect for mooring ropes, fenders and short ends. This is my easy to follow method of how to make an eye splice.

thanks for sharing! i cannot figure out what the direction of the lose ends are. Are the parallel to the main thread, or kind of square on the thread of the rope

pieterjdw - When you are naming your first pass they enter at 90% then as you feed them in its parallel 👍🏻

Normal electrical insulation tape. Get 3 colours for a quid at pound shops.
