- I spent the ENTIRE day going to every Sephora near me to try and find these 10 year olds that everyone's talking about. While I heard horror stories from the workers, my experience went a little differently... keep watching to see how it all goes down :)

I was at Ulta one time and my mom was curious what Drunk Elephant was so she went to that section, and there were two 6 year olds being supervised by their grandma and talking about skin types. We saw them in the Bubble section again and I told my mom I wanted to get something here but I didn’t know what. Then one of the girls said “oh you look like you’re normal to dry so I recommend the Slam Dunk Hydrating Moisturizer” that interaction left me speechless and scared…😂

I know right. I don’t agree with middle school aged children getting anti aging products, but the way these girls have been treated online is honestly kind of gross. I’m so happy that he is going into this with an open mind.
to be fair middle school age and 10 year olds are different. you experience a lot in those few years. middle school is when most people experience puberty, which leads to a LOT of acne. middle schoolers actually do need to take care of their skin to stay clear of acne. but of course i do not encourage ANYONE to spend over 50ish dollars on skincare (unless they seriously need it for skin conditions and such). i think i was able to get away with just a cleanser or soap and some CeraVe moisturizer, but i had it easy compared to some other people my age. i agree with you, bullying those poor children doesnt help anyone 😭. its just sad to see grown ass adults getting worked up over 10 year olds
Fr like I feel like I don’t want to share that I went to ulta to get makeup when I was around ten, I wasn’t trying to get anti-aging cream, I just wanted to put on some makeup bc it was pretty
it has come to the point where i am in middle school and fear that im doing something wrong because of pepole that critisize (i have really bad acne since i was 9) and im really grateful that pepole like carter dont steryotype them and actually care and listen to the advice they give they are just kids who want to feel pretty and we as people that know a little more about skincare should help them understand it isnt about the brand its about how it works if we fell more confident etc etc (just to say im not justifing all the presure that is put on them to use product some need it more some less) in conclousion find the right thing for you thank you to carter and remeber let the kids be kids

As an 11 year old, I regret finding social media too early. I think most of the time I was influenced by my social environment and I finally understand that I don't need to have a long skincare routine to fit in. Because I still only use a 5 dollar almost finished face wash. My best friend is literally obsessed with Sephora. You're 10. Recently her marks dropped drastically since the Sephora outrage in our city. I am extremely disappointed. Can't we all just go back to the DVD time where we shook the whole house on finding the holy old sock?
Your not the only one babe, I remember starting using social media, how much I regretted it. Yes dvds, or renting dvds. On thing I will say as a 21 year old, who has finally neglected all trends, make your own trend for yourself, if anyone hates it, too bad for them, they don’t know what real happiness is. ❤😊
