    Fantastic job Lee! You really have thought about everything. Every single little piece has their own place that makes them function. I think every Camper should be constructed in your way! Cheers!

    Coming along really well Lee.
    It’s looking like it’s going to be a cracking van, with a professional level finish.
    Looking forward to the next video.

      Thanks. I’m trying to make it as good as I can. My skills are limited when it comes to wood.

    Hi Lee another great video. I recently bought a Fiat Ducato same size as your boxer. Yourself and Greg Virgoe have both saved me a lots of wasted time on what to and not to buy along with great straight forward information with lots of helpful tips. Looking forward to your next video.

    Hi mate. Wondering what covering you’re using on the ply.
    I know it’s self adhesive vinyl but is it any particular one?
    Looks to be going on well with nice finish.

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  3 місяці тому +1

      It’s D-C-FIX vinyl for kitchens.

    I'm loving how far you've gotten in such a short time..
    Such a clean job!
    Following you since the T5 🤘🏽
    Question if you will good sir:
    How exactly are you attaching the units to the van especially the overhead cabinets? Rivits?

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks ☺️ overhead units will be pocket screwed to battens that I’ve screwed through the points where the 12mm ply goes across the roof in between the insulation

    So interesting watching how the camper evolves and how each task is tackled! One question I have is regarding how the wood panels are cut! What are the metal guides you use and is that a circular saw? Apologies if daft questions! Look forward to the next stage 👍

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  4 місяці тому

      Yeah it evolves fast at this point. The guides are just “saw guide rails”. If you google they’ll pop up.

    Really enjoying this build man, you've given me some great ideas 👍currently getting in to my own build a LWB 2020 Citroen Relay, insulation etc now. Wondering have you made any progres in to your electrics set up.? I'm wanting to run my Renogy battery to battery charger cables in, as you know these Van's have a smart alternator & require a D+ cable for an ignition live. Wondering have you set yours up yet. I'm totally not sure of the best way to go about this. I'd like to run the battery cables underneath in some conduit also with the D+ wire in there back down by the back door/garage area where I'll keep my power supply etc. I've heard that you can connect the D+ wire to an ignition live via the cigarette lighter socket but have never come across a step by step video to do so, there is not one decent UA-cam video of this available. Do you think this might be something you might get around to doing.? Best of luck with the rest of the build it's shaping up lovely. ✊

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  4 місяці тому +1

      I’ll be starting the electrics soon. Just waiting for some more bits to come then picking it all up. I have already prepped a d+ from the cigarette lighter to the battery bay as part of the spot light wiring. I mention it in the spotlight video coming next week but will talk about it properly when I do the actual electrics. I’m a qualified electrician so I’m going to spread the electrics out over a few videos and go right into detail of the full system. It’s a full top spec off grid victron system.

    • @bradlock76
      @bradlock76 4 місяці тому

      Brilliant ✊✊✊ this whole D+ wire has me totally baffled in how to actually go about connecting it to the cigarette lighter port. I have been scanning around but can not find a decent video demonstration on this for the Relay/Boxer/Ducatto. So really looking forward to this next video instalment. Loving what you did with the lights either side of the bed area. The layout you have is exactly as I have been planning, shower etc. I have a JP Heater/boiler to go in to it, & wanting to also put a Diesel oven/hob in to it. They are pretty pricey, but worth it in the long run, no more hauling gas bottles around & having to top them up & saves a lot of space & excess weight. Hoping the rain stays off & I can get my solar panels bolted on this wknd. Have a good wknd lad. 🚐....⛅

    Starting to look really smart, I really like the finish so far. I was thinking about doing my furniture with 12mm wrapped in vinyl but I always wondered how it would stand up to knocks and bangs. Did you test it before you committed?

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  4 місяці тому

      No lol I just went for it. After handling the 12mm boards to make the floor I made the decision. They felt sturdy. Only problem I’m coming up against is it’s too thin for cupboard doors. I’m either going to pack it thicker at the hinges or just get some 15mm not decided yet.

    This is stunning, what thickness of ply are u using for the walls, please

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  4 місяці тому +1

      5.5mm for the walls 👍
