She needs rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rice is life and without rice, there's no life. Been happily married for 14 years to my American husband and I cook my Filipino food and his American food every meal. But he's learning to love rice but with gravy, bbq, teriyaki sauce, etc. No plain rice for him.
So interesting.. I didn't know about the provinces and now I do. Did some research on Cebu Island, Leyte and the general geography of the country. What a cool place.

A suggestion, if you don't mind! You should buy a car or truck and a scooter to get around there. Let her take the scooter to her island when she goes back and forth, so she has a way to get around there too. They can take the scooters on the boats usually. Then you both will be able to come and go as you please and save a lot of time and cost of taxis etc, especially since you said this is where you will be staying at now, in your last video. Time to get a nice house and take care of this beautiful lady like she deserves to be taken care of. You are one very lucky man to have her! She is so beautiful, especially when she smiles! Hi Tim. I'm married with a Filipino woman since 2007. I could write a book about her, her family and their culture and mindset. You see what is funny is that when my wife eats, she has THE EXACT same reaction than your gf: Nothing at all! No reaction. Just a statue. She says nothing. Even when I serve the best food we can imagine like prime ribs, lasagna, great homemade pizza etc etc, her reaction is exactly like the girl we see in this clip at 1:58: She's cold and dead serious when eating. When I ask her how is it, she says: 'it's okay' or 'It's fine'. 'It's fine' is the best answer I can hear. She only tells me about the food when we're away from the house. Typically when we're driving somewhere. Once I asked her why she's always reacting like this. She said: 'Us Filipinos we don't say what we think. If it's good, we eat and that's it.' She always hides her culture to me. Like if she knows it's not adapted to us. Filipinos are very very bashful. More bashful than muslims from Saudi Arabia and Yemen for certain things. Filipino parents and grandparents often act like dictators toward their kids. They never show any physical signs of affection to their kids. Kissing and hugging kids and parents is unthinkable in the Filipino culture. The only sign they do is the 'Mano po' gesture which is a sign of respect via submission. They do the same gesture to their parents than to a teacher and police officer they meet for the first time. This has a huge impact on the way they shape their society and the future generations. There are many taboos and "forbidden topics" in this culture. The simple fact of digging and analyzing the Filipino culture is a huge taboo.

Glad to see Christin and yourself reunited. Very busy city, would not feel that safe no matter what part of the sidewalk I was walking. Walking together is another way to get some physical activity. Maybe there are a few mountains to hike in that region. Would love to see you both climbing in the beautiful landscapes or dipping into some running water close to a waterfall. Please travel safe you both.

Watching your videos has become one of our daily rituals . Neri & I stay in one of the Avdia Towers right across from the Famous Sugbu Mercado Food Court located in I.T Park . I highly recommend that you try this place out. It opens up at 5 pm. with day's of operation from Thursday through Sunday. The live music starts at 8 pm for heads up. There is a lot of choices of food to eat in a friendly atmosphere . Another great place to eat at is La Vie Parisienne , Located on Gorordo Ave in Cebu. The ambiance inside and in the back court yard is breath taking , The Pizza they serve is good. They also have 32 flavors of ice creams ..Very excellent ice cream . They also have a lot of pastries too. The service can be slow at times But the wait is worth it .Another great place to site see while you are here in Cebu is a museum house known as The Old House .
