I have a problem: I already setup everything as you recommended. However when I would like to react to some music videos and I would like to let everyone listen to the song with me at the same time. Can you show me how to do it? I tried multiple times but I dont know why I just could listen to the music video by headphones but everyone could not listen to what I was listening. How can I fix it?
You'll need to add the audio as a source inside of OBS. So you'll end up with two sources for audio, one input for your microphone and one for your desktop audio. This way the audio source of the music video can be mixed in to your Livestream.
For example, how can I capture the sound from my Samson microphone and a UA-cam video at the same time, while also being able to listen to the video in order to make reaction comments?
Any information on exactly how you setup your broadcast mixer to record output. say i wanted to stream with speakers but didn,t want feedback from the speakers in the mic
That'll be hard to do to balance audio levels so your microphone doesn't pick up your speakers, and you'll probably want to run quite a low gain on your mic. You could add some kind of noise gate as a filter on your microphone in OBS,, but as soon as you start talking, the audio from your speakers will inevitably be heard. Unless you watch, pause, speak. Watch, pause, speak etc.
I was following your instruction and everything worked except for screen flipping. I did make another scene and put video capture to sources. But it showed only a black screen....what am I doing wrong?
Is there a way to have the recorded screen capture and the recording of yourself separate files? I've seen where some content creators in post editing they are moving around the screen in a circle frame, sometimes a rectangle frame, and then sometimes the movie is behind them sometimes to the right of the screen?
Hey, Sorry for the slow reply this has been wracking my brain and I've been trying to find a solution for you. Could you please send me a link of an example so I know more of what you're talking about? There's an OBS plugin called Source Record, which allows you to record as many sources as your PC can handle. So if you want to record your content and webcam at the same time and produce two different files so you can edit it later, this is how you do it Download here: obsproject.com/forum/resources/source-record.1285/ Secondly, there are also animation plugins you can use which will animate the movement between different scenes. I have a question please. I notice on UA-cam videos sometimes when there are reactions videos. The person switches from reaction mode (small corner of camera + material) to full screen of camera only, back and forth. Example in your video, how to constantly change from 6:52 to 7:10
You can set up different scenes that cross between the two you need, and then you can assign hit keys to them so you can switch between them on the fly. However I am probably going to guess that some video editing is involved in these videos you're talking about.
Do have an advice for me? Want to do that, what you've shown on the Video, but in addional with a remote Partner. I know, I can realize that with virtual cam, but what about the Audio? If use something like virtual cable drivers my Partner hears hisself with a delay. How can I Do the setup that the remote Audio is on the streaming output, but not in the Monitoring? Thanks a lot
It will be possible. Firstly if you use something like Discord with your remote partner, you could potentially share your screen there, while capturing the window through Discord. In terms of audio you'd set your OBS up the same, with an audio input and audio output, and the same with Discord. In terms of video capture, use OBS to capture your webcam, and use OBS virtual camera to send it to discord if this is desired. Then aim OBS to capture your friend's webcam using a window capture source. You shouldn't need to use virtual cable for this.
I did a Window Capture of a video that I downloaded off of youtube, so the video plays on quicktime player. Then I did a window capture of the video on quicktime player but it turns out the audio from that video is not being captured in the recording. The video definitely has audio, but the audio from that video isn't being captured on OBS. Can you please advise me on this?
But when it comes to editing, is there no way to switch between scenes if you didn’t switch while filming? Like if I didn’t think of switching to the scene with me only, is there a way to edit it post recording
That's a very good question actually! Like can you record two scenes simultaneously. Two options: 1. A plugin called Source Record. obsproject.com/forum/resources/source-record.1285/ 2. Set your recording preview to 2x wider than your height (if usually recording 1920x1080 you'd set it to 3840x1080) from here you'd build your two scenes in one area and then crop in post. Hope this helps. Thanks for checking out the content.

@@FunTimeFunnies yep that's possible. But you will need to use a browser window to pause UA-cam. So either two monitors so you can have OBS open on monitor 1, or one monitor and have the browser and OBS side by side.

Your audio input capture will need to target where your audio is being played from. Go to the bottom right of your desktop to your system tray, and click the little speaker. Whwtever that is, set your OBS audio input capture to that. This way your audio will play through OBS.
Im using OBS. Everythign is set up. When I pull up a video on netflix or crunchyroll for anime, I can hear and see the subtitles. However, the image doesnt pop up. can you help?
That's because Netflix and probably CrunchyRoll have built in piracy protection hence the black screen. Unfortunately doing something like that is illegal.
@@AJCoCoQueen to be honest I have no idea as I've never engaged in that kind of content creation. There may be another screen recorder software out there that can do it, or they're receiving clips from the PR firms of these shows for the purpose of making content.

Not that I know of. Usually a second monitor is the way to go so you can have full screen UA-cam on monitor A and then OBS on monitor B. Another option is to resize your Window Capture window to the size of the video and resize the window.
Yep, unfortunately services like CrunchyRoll, Netflix etc will have an anti screen recording feature due to piracy. Best thing to do is download UA-cam clips and edit the video before publishing it.
@@sjrahrico you will still have to control the video on the UA-cam player for it to play through OBS. For sound, you will need to find where your sound source is coming from. If its your desktop audio then you will need to add an Audio Output to your sources.

This doesn't record the audio of the video you're playing by default. The one thing no one seems to address lol. Spent hours trying to get this working.
Have you got the source audio active on your Scenes? Bring in an Audio Input Device under your sources and direct that towards whatever audio you have set in your Windows settings (check this in your bottom right system tray).
When I transition to my 2nd scene (where my webcam is the full screen video) It disables my other webcam for the reaction part. Anybody know a fix to this?
How are you pulling your webcam into the scene? You could adding a separate webcam source, and then pulling that into each scene instead of a video device.
Thank you Sir I truly appreciate your tutorial the time you took. What I wanted to ask how can I do this without showing my face at all however I DO WANT THE SAME EFFECT WITH BOX AT THE BOTTOM WHERE YOU PLACED YOURSELF, I wanted to add a picture instead of mic motion effect. I'm going to try it in the meantime. Also another question lol please forgive. I have a revelator mic it's so sensitive it picks my neighbors. instead i have M58 i connect with my Zoom podtrak4 I so live it. How can i connect my zoom podtrak 4 with my obs and get that beautiful sound that i'm getting with Zp4 hope I made since thanks an advance @techNuovo
Okay 1. Audio effect. If you've got a transparent .mov file of the audio effect, you can add it to Obs as a transparent video. In. OBS you can ticj the "loop" button so it repeats I'm not sure if there's any kind of plugin that will automatically react to your voice though. might have to do some googling. 2. If the zoom connects to your PC/laptop via USB, you might be able to add it as an audio capture device, meaning you can use anything plugged into the Zoom as a microphone. I don't know this 100% as never tested myself, but it sounds like it could work.
That could be a little tricky, especially with resizing the full screen UA-cam video. Though you could watch the video in a window, and inside of OBS, use a window capture source and crop the window capture to the video area and resize it in OBS.
I made it on Photoshop and saved as a transparent PNG so I could bring it into OBS. There's a tutorial on the channel on our Tutorials Playlist on how to make your own.

Your audio input capture will need to target where your audio is being played from. Go to the bottom right of your desktop to your system tray, and click the little speaker. Whwtever that is, set your OBS audio input capture to that. This way your audio will play through OBS.
Appreciate the help!

How do you get your overlay?
I made it in Photoshop. There's a video in the OBS Tutorial playlist on the channel that runs through how to do this.
@@TechNuovo okay, thank you! I’m gonna go watching it! Very informative video btw! 👏🏽

Where do you get the border? I'm unable to figure that out.
I made it myself in Photoshop.
@@TechNuovo Oh okay, THanks anyway
@@user-tm4my4jb6d what if we dont have photoshop. can you share yours for free?
Im using OBS. Everythign is set up. When I pull up a video on netflix or crunchyroll for anime, I can hear and see the subtitles. However, the image doesnt pop up. can you help?
That's because Netflix and probably CrunchyRoll have built in piracy protection hence the black screen. Unfortunately doing something like that is illegal.
@@TechNuovo so where are these other UA-cam reactors getting those episodes from?
@@AJCoCoQueen to be honest I have no idea as I've never engaged in that kind of content creation. There may be another screen recorder software out there that can do it, or they're receiving clips from the PR firms of these shows for the purpose of making content.

How do i get that background?
Make it on Photoshop. I've got a tutorial on how to do it on the channel.
I dont understand how i can go full screen on UA-cam and still use obs, as soon as i go full screen on UA-cam it hides obs and i am unable to see if i am capturing everything i want, is their a way to control the UA-cam window from the OBS siftware, sych as play, pause, rewind, full screen ect.
Not that I know of. Usually a second monitor is the way to go so you can have full screen UA-cam on monitor A and then OBS on monitor B.
Another option is to resize your Window Capture window to the size of the video and resize the window.
I did the window capture try and react to an anime on Crunchyroll but the screen is pitch black only showing my webcam
Yep, unfortunately services like CrunchyRoll, Netflix etc will have an anti screen recording feature due to piracy. Best thing to do is download UA-cam clips and edit the video before publishing it.
thank you

I have no options with any of this?? Like window capture and all that
Definitely running OBS Studio?
@@TechNuovo yes sir
I learn a lo😢 from you sir .thank u
You're welcome! Glad to have helped.
I presume we'd need to hit 'start recording,' correct?
Yep. To record your footage to your hard drive, hit the 'Start Recording' button.
The image doesn’t show anything you pre recorded it and didn’t explain that part it’s just a blk screen
Can I use my laptop or do I need a computer
Laptop is fine but it's got to be powerful enough to stream or record and use OBS Studio.
@@TechNuovo it’s a new MacBook I just wanted to record reactions
How do you put it in split screen
Which part of the video are you referring to?
I got my self in the box and the UA-cam video in the background. It didn’t play and went it did. It was no sound.
@@TechNuovo I wanted to know if you can do split screen with OBS?
@@sjrahrico you will still have to control the video on the UA-cam player for it to play through OBS.
For sound, you will need to find where your sound source is coming from. If its your desktop audio then you will need to add an Audio Output to your sources.
@@sjrahrico split screen gaming do you mean? Or just splitting two image sources?
thanks man

WELL DONE
Thanks!!
In the video is he using OBS Studios or OBS streamlabs? The title doesn't specify which one he is using and I want to know because OBS studios is the one I want to use not streamlabs.
OBS Studios.
@@TechNuovo Okay sounds good that's the one I want to use to. I just wanted to make sure that was the one you were using in the video. Thanks for telling me!
@@TechNuovo I have 2 seperate scenes using the same camera (video source) when 1 is active the other it just a black screen.
Okay
Awesome
Thank you!!

What do I do if I only have one screen? The problem I’m having is playing a video full screen, when ever I play full screen I can’t control obs
That could be a little tricky, especially with resizing the full screen UA-cam video. Though you could watch the video in a window, and inside of OBS, use a window capture source and crop the window capture to the video area and resize it in OBS.
so you lost me at youtube react overlay... how did u get that picture w the two windows .... small window and the big window..how did u even get that
I made it on Photoshop and saved as a transparent PNG so I could bring it into OBS. There's a tutorial on the channel on our Tutorials Playlist on how to make your own.
Can you just use your iphone for video and sound instead .
You could but this is more better in the long one , you can start out that way but then this way is your next step
I am unable to play a UA-cam video from window capture please help
I can only see the UA-cam video screen. When I click on it nothing happens
You can't click to play a video inside of OBS. You still have to click play on the browser window to play a video.
@@TechNuovo thank you. Got it 👌
Honestly I am confused with different tutorials on OBS, I really want to see how the youtubers does their music video
Which music video is this?
Can you stop the video you’re reacting to and then resume play ?
Yep. If you're on the browser window you can pause and skip etc like you usually would and it will still come through OBS.
Thanks for this video! This was so helpful.
You lost me at webcam background 1?
That's a background that I made in Photoshop.
well then how am I supposed to follow you? Good video but remember this is a tutorial so slow down a bit.@@TechNuovo
