In the mid-80s in a small club I saw an opening band called Agit-Pop who played a few songs that reminded me of the soundtrack here. They used pots, pans, kitchen utensils. But it was nowhere as good as the soundtrack here.
If you asked someone to listen to this video with their eyes closed and tell you what it was I think one answer might be: "Things I don't want to hear in a graveyard at night."
There was one who was just planting everything, top 75% was smooth and fast and the last 25 just soaked it all up, perfectly balanced forces, was very cool to watch.
Can anyone tell what the black box with lights and wires is for on some of the down tubes? Looks like mostly the Commencal peoples. Looks like some high speed shock wiz type gizmo
Suspension telemetry. They're recording the suspension performance to help optimise the settings. You can see the displacement sensor on one side of the fork more clearly than the one on the shock.
RS, FOX, Ohlins, Suntour, EXT, DVO.. they can all perform well enough given the proper setup :) That's why you see some of these folks here with a telemetry system on
The audio from all the slo-mo sounds like some sort of art film soundtrack, I love the insane sounds of whistles, horns, and cow bells
The whistles sound like indians
@@eli-gabriel more like owls

Vital MTB. That was dope. As long as you can keep this going along with the Raw practice footage here on UA-cam I'll be a happy man🤘🏿

Yeah!!! Another race weekend, another bike abuse! That is SICK!!! keep bringing em!
You can tell the faster riders are less stiff on the bike. Their limbs move more and they try and absorb more.

It was like the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park were somewhere on the mountain calling each other?
The mechanics be closing the lights & shutting the doors, reaching for the tissue box hard
The mechanical sympathy is real.
I am watching this too
I LOVE It 🙈👌😍💘
👍
What is the point of wearing mountain bike pants? I mean, as opposed to shorts. It's not like the pants offer any additional protection.
in downhill, the keep skin from being exposed and they help keep pads in place. scrapes/scuffs can be avoided with pants during slide-outs.
of course they do!
Santa Cruz looked the best by far
Omg !!!
