- Scott Taylor recounts his shared-death experience at the 2014 Conference for the International Association for Near-Death Studies. This program was aired on KMVT15 Community Media.
I never knew until recently what to call it but I too experienced this 3 days after my mother passed. We had just come home from the funeral home and my brother called me to the backyard where my mother's spirit body or light body was hovering...at that point I fell to my knees and I popped out of my body. The love was beyond anything earthly I've ever known or experienced..and we traveled together until I had to go back. I always thought it was an out of body experience, but the more I listen to these NDEs, this fits to a tee.
To say we we're close would be an understatement. I was her caregiver for 22 years and she was my heart. I never thought I would get past her death when she died but the funny thing is, when I returned I never had a grieving day .I knew without a doubt that our Spirit goes on. I also had a complete physical healing for a personal issue I'd had. Life is full of mysteries and I feel so blessed for this experience..

Scott Taylor was one of my facilitators at the Monroe Institute. He’s a genuinely loving soul.
Everytime I see a person who has experienced a profound NDE getting interviewed they always come across as such gentle grounded loving people that you know they have seen and felt things that are real. They seem to be left with an aura of modest knowing and contentment and deliver the experience with the same modest eloquence.
You can't not believe them.

Never heard of a shared NDE but during brain surgery in 2010 I witnessed my Dad who had died 6 months before passing over. He was greeting a large group of people on a dirt road. The road was on the edge of a beautiful meadow with a line of tall trees behind the happy group. I believe it was a gift from him saying I’m ok and now you will be too. 🙏🏻

My face "broke" too! Into tears. I felt the genuine "realness" of this Man's experience, what a thing to happen to you! Wow! He didn't want to put boundaries around the experience with words. What a beautiful human.

This happened to me too. I was not I'll nor dying, I had just got into bed beside my wife who was asleep, then I went up thorough the ceiling out into Space. I was fully aware, and astonished at what was happening to me. I saw the Plannets, the Galaxies, all the Universe with me flying past them at a speed that could not be measured. I realized I wasn't breathing and did not need to, I look to my legs and there wasn't any. I had no Body, but I was me still but what , just aware and knew what was going on , but did not know why. It all seemed crazy, but I knew I was definitely not Dreaming at all. Then, in what looked like maybe, billions of miles away, a terrific white bright pin head of light appeared, and I was being taken right to it, at incredible speed. Then I entered the light. Just to say during this from the start I felt so amazing and so loved and protected. The light then seemed to go all over me and around me, then I was part of the light. Then I floated into the most incredibly beautiful Garden or land full of huge amazing flowers of colors I have never seen before but so alive and vibrant. Then I saw many shapes of people standing in a semi circle around in front of me. Then a very tall man came up to me wearing white robes. It definitely looked and felt like Jesus , though it may have been an Angel, I'm not too sure. All of a sudden my Grandmother was in front of me , and said you have to go back its not you're time yet. Then it was the man in the white Robe again, and he said , its not you're time , you have to go back. I definitely wanted to stay and gave no thought of my loved ones back on Earth, it didn't seem to matter. It just was like one day we will all be here but time has no meaning here so they could be here already and so could I. My Grandmother you see wasn't dead she was still alive on Earth , but was old , and eventually did Die a year or so later. Well in an instant I was back sitting up in bed in total bewilderment. But I realized a while later, that after finding out if any others had this sort of experience, and then I knew I had been given a chance to change a few wrongs I'd done, and I have. I'm very great full to Jesus and love him. I know like millions of others who have had a similar thing happen to them, that God is real and Jesus is the light and the way, and no one comes to God or Heaven but by Jesus. I tell you this is all the truth. God Bless all of you. Love each other. For love is what Jesus is all about for us. We exist forever. Thankyou.

Term Near Death Experience may need to be rephrased as Self Experience. Perhaps for most of the human beings on earth death is the moment wherein they meet their true self without any thoughts or intervention of mind activities.
I love this experience! My friend sheila had 3 heart attacks and had an amazing NDE with Jesus ( sheila shaw nde part 1 ) but I never heard of a shared experience. How precious! Life and the afterlife is mysterious in many ways. This experience of Scott's and his girlfriend's relatives is one of them. Thank you Scott for having the courage to share your experience with us! Me too after several NDEs, I don’t even try to describe it except to say the love is so powerful, all the different types of love, romantic, fatherly, brotherly etc. just so profound nothing that powerful in this world.

I had an experience with my deceased father he came to me in my lucid dream and took me with him in the space to see the planet Earth . Some how I was bigger than the planet and I could touch it if I wanted. It was so amazing . I really did not see my father but I could feel him next to me all the time in my dream. He knew I was always interested in space and the planets.
Tarane Reames I often have dreams where my mom is next to me watching my dream with me. I can’t see her but I know she is next to me..I wake up very happy and comforted..

I read a book about shared near death experiences. It seems like it's something that some people were fortunate enough to have.
Had a similar experience and was amazed that there were others having much the same experience. One thing i can say you feel an indescribable joy, and at the same time you're thinking am i nuts, but you know it is real, and may try to share but lack the language. Thank you for sharing, and you're not crazy.

I went into the light chasing a negative entity. The demon got destroyed by the light, but I felt this warm love that is indescribable. The light was alive and it was full of abundant love, joy, peace, unlike anything on earth. Like going into blissful eternal happiness.
This resonated with me strongly. Thank for sharing. I too once had an experience of existing in two realities at the same time. I was fully aware of each one, and at one point I remember saying to myself with delight and wonder "I am fully awake and present in two places at once. I know I am in my body laying on this bed, but I am also here in this other place." The particulars of that other place do not matter in this moment, but it was real and beautiful, and full of love. Either the veil is thinning, or ppl are losing their fear of sharing their experiences. I believe both scenarios are unfolding 💗💗💗.

I think as we have begun to use things like the internet, such an inconceivable communication device to us humans not so long ago, to connect with each other, we are slowly reconnecting with our ability to communicate directly without intermediary means. Oh Lord I had this same near death experience as well. This is so true I have a new death experience 2017 and I would need for a hysterectomy well when I went in for a hysterectomy partial hysterectomy I remember waiting on them to call me back into the surgery room when I got back there I remember speaking with the doctor then all of a sudden I seen this very very very very very bright light.It was a light that you can’t even fathom. I didn’t know what was going on I felt like I was confused and all of a sudden I heard a deep voice in the background was so quiet it was more than quite it put the Q and quiet.And when I heard this voice is deep voice call me by my first name he said Nina calm down and look into the light. At that point I was like where is that voice coming from and then all of a sudden the light didn’t phase me anymore.Then all of a sudden I was flying through the sky like it was so beautiful I felt like I was free and a kid I was amazed of the beautiful sky and clouds for some reason. Then all of a sudden I flew up on a person I know who he was he was Lord Jesus Christ.Like literally it was Lord Jesus Christ I could not and I won’t deny him he was very very very very very very very very very beautiful!!! He was in this bubble in the sky he had dark Penny colored hair and his beard was the same color his hair with shoulderlength he had on a white down but I can only see from his shoulders on up. He has some beautiful caramel skin it was very rich and Carmel. He’s Eyes Oh my god there was something about his eyes that was so amazing when you look into them you see pure love its something about his eyes. All of a sudden he poured this powerful powerful powerful powerful radiation of love upon me! Then all of a sudden he stopped the love radiation and I was so happy I mean like words I can’t explain The love you cannot get here on earth. I looked down for some reason at the earth and I start thinking about my children saying I got to tell them this and instantly he took the thoughts of the world away and start pouring more love on me powerful powerful powerful radiation of love upon me. ThenHe stopped again this time he spoke without his mouth movie he said my father and looked up to the right of him and I looked and I saw father God you read me right I saw his father and our father the all creator father God. I was scared when I first laid eyes on him and he spoke without his mouth moving he told me don’t be afraid. Then instantly both of them . Lord Jesus and father God poured this radiation Of love upon me it was words you can’t even explain. Like I’m serious I will not and cannot deny father God nor lord Jesus if I wanted to. Then father God was looking at me like Jesus was just looking at me and they both was in this bubble but they had their own bubble meaning Lord Jesus was in a bubble and then the right of him up a little was father God. Father God he had long white hair and I mean long hair it was by his shoulders or like like it will be long like going down his back is well and his beard was long as well it came to the middle of his chest. He had like this saggy skin upon your face you know like as we age Our skin and sags. Yes he looks like he was 170 something he was slim but you can tell he was very tall by his shoulders you can tell how tall he was. He was a charcoal colored but you can literally still see his skin is meaning he can’t see the skin but you can see the face because Skin is flesh but the color of it that’s what I’m saying. He looks like Lord Jesus and then when you keep looking at him He looked like everyone. He is lord Jesus look a like like father like son like mother like daughter that type of look. At that point I asked father God was this the way I was going to die? Then he Wiped out his right hand and he had a ball of white smoke the size of a cantaloupe and he had sparkles in it and Lord Jesus gave me this look like of sadness or like you got to go back but I couldn’t understand what he was feeling at the moment and then all of a sudden father God blew the smoke in my face. I was back into my body because I know nowI was trying to get my families attention like hey I’m up! And I kept saying that and they act like they couldn’t hear me or see me up. At that point I was just observing them talk amongst me glancing at me in my bed in my meeting room. Then My ex-husband Excor my family out the room because I guess they was going back home he came back in my room and start pacing my bed back-and-forth and was looking at me until we finally made our contact and he cried and he cried and rush to my bedside. At that point I was like what’s going on and he was crying saying that he’s glad that I’m back I was like what do you mean back I start feeling pain in my body is well I guess from the surgery and I had to go down my nose . And he told me that my organs started to shut down and I turned another color and he ran to go get help and the nurses come in my room crying and trying to keep me comfortable until the doctor was on his way. He said that I have been unconscious for a week. It felt like two days or day that IHave been there. He stated to me no you’ve been here for a little over a week. I asked him what did they pump my stomach he said no I asked him did they shock me or give me medicine in my IV he said no. He said I start back breathing And I just been there and now I’m awake and he was happy. Now my ex-husband is a nonbeliever he doesn’t believe in the Lord Jesus no father God another words he’s A atheist. I said to him putting this together in my thoughts is that why I seen father God and Lord Jesus and he looked at me with like a look like what are you talking about. Then he told me just go to sleep and get you some rest like I was delusional. They poured a look at the window and cried of joy.

The best part of my day was hearing this story !...
I had never heard of it,shared death experience, and walked out of the room during my own mothers death, because I couldn’t stop smiling. It’ seemed inappropriate, but the the things I felt and saw with my eyes and soul while my feet were on the ground. Also, all of the family and friends, even some atheists felt something. Hate me all you want, but we were praying the Our Father, and we are Catholic. It’s sad I have to worry about hate coming from other Christians when I say I’m Catholic, but that’s just reality.
cas4040 I had the same experience with my Dad as I shared I’ve experienced quite the backlash from “Christians” and my connection to the other side continued. I don’t know why but I know I am a follower of Jesus Christ what’s sad is Christians believe in church more then they believe in Jesus the Jesus of miracles hopefully someday I have the courage to speak out on my life since these experiences

We just want you to know the Lord that is all. Maybe you do. But praying to Mary and the saints is wrong. And this guy was probably deceived. Many of these "light" experiences do not line up with the word of God. They do however line up with the idea that Satan is a crafty deceiever.

I think it's "BOLDLY GO" no matter, i totally agree.
I remember waking up one morning to a face of someone I loved deeply. The image was so real like she was right there. I thought to myself how strange this experience was, one I won’t forget. I didn’t think much about it and chalked it up to a dream because my rational mind didn’t process it until I found out later that she had passed on...some things we can’t leave to rational thought to explain. This universe and it’s inner workings are too big for that narrow space between our ears.

This was Awsome, that four could share this NDE!
And I am happy to hear that you studied NDE. As I have heard a RN that was finishing her PHD, and she did a study on NDE, and she interviewed many patients that had experienced a NDE, and found that they had simular experiences. She also concluded, that many of these patients came back into their bodies ; they also, come back with a spiritual gift from God.
For example, some people have come back with healing powers while other's see that the colors of things are very different in heaven then they are on this earth. And they continue to see these vibrant color from heaven here on earth.
I totally believe that you do not have to have a NDE to be able witness spiritual experience.

MAN! Thank you! People don't realize how hard it is to translate a shared death experience with people. It's so hard for me to find other people who have had shared death experiences without having had anything wrong with their health.

@@Dan-kh5ll well, that's completely understandable! Just curious how long ago this happened? What's amazing to me with stories like this is how real and raw they still are with people after many-many years. Keep in mind that I believe most people would not only understand your emotion, they would feel and respond the same way as you if it had happened to them. No judgement. If I was you I would feel blessed to have had that experience. My mom died of a brain aneurysm when I was 21. Do you consider what happened to you a positive event?
@@Mark-ci8kt This happened to me in 2015. Not long ago. I heard music during the event, that's how it started I froze in a standing position and then the music was so loud like headphones and then I was in space. A year later I wrote one of the 1000s of songs that were playing at once. The one that resonated with me but It doesn't translate here the same way as what I heard and saw.

The one thing that's almost always, 100% of the time, part of NDE's and shared experiences, is the inability to describe things seen and felt in our English language and vocabulary. People cannot properly explain the depth of their experience as relates to colors, music, love, peace etc...Both the physical and emotional feelings are beyond our grasp here on earth. Your story sounds amazing. I hope one day you're able to share it with others. It may bring them peace in knowing the beauty that awaits them....and their loved ones.

I have always loved hearing testimony and witnessing about NDE,
However, I haven't heard too much on OBE, that is just fascinating.
And I have to tell you, that as a spirit filled Blood Bought and Paid for Christian, that when someone like this man testifies about the after-world , that the Holy Spirit whom dwells within believers will always let you know through truth and discernment, whether someone is telling the truth or not. And I felt very strongly that this man was and is telling the truth.

WOW!! I'm re reading the holographic universe by Michael Talbot and these experiences give me a lot of explanations to the concepts I'm reading which are very complicated and new. This one particularly is amazing , lots os answers here!!
I've been in the light..... it is real!.!
We need to educate ourselves more about obes, astral projections and Ndes. Many people don't have no idea about the multidimensional reality.
Ive been listening to a lot of these. After a while you can see quite a few similarities. It has changed my mind about death. Im very good at seeing when people are lying. Many of these people are not lying. This guy is not lying. There is an extra fascination in this for me because about 25 years ago I had an extremely moving and vivid dream that matches elements of their reports. But, I wasnt dead. I went to a white 2 story building, built like a typical house. It is built into a hill, so that the front entrance is on the second level and the lower floor is subterranean on the front, but level with the ground on the back. Its night and I arrive alone from the front, descend steps and am now in the basement. Its dim in there, its one ooen room like a cellar. On various folding tables are little displays, showing different elements and aspects of my life, from the past, at that point, and showing into the future, where I am now. A door in the wall slides open emitting a blinding white light, and humanoid beings emerge. It was too bright to tell if they were human, but right shape and size. Love and reassurance emanated from them in waves. I was very glad to have their support and company. But then they returned into the wall, the door closed, and darkness returned. I then noticed an open door to the outside and went out into the night, walking on an open path into the woods behind the house, with a full moon lighting the ground ahead. Then I woke up. Seems similar.

In this man's explain of that hardest question, I understood I had this same spiritual experience at the cemetery as I stayed behind looking to the beautiful sky with my hands firmly on my mother's casket. I was filled with not a joy that brought me tears, but a joy that filled my soul to bursting with experiencing HER joy. Exhilarating mind blowing knowledge. It was a thank you from my mom. I was the one who whispered in her ear that it was okay to go just a couple of nights before. She had had a long life of loses of her own. After whispering I knew she was seeing and connecting with mer parents, her sister, my sister, she finally nodded her acceptance of letting go of all she thought she felt she needed to stay for. I assured her we would all be alright. We would miss her but it would be okay because she taught us right. Her job was done. If she felt the pull to go ( she nodded she did) then she could proceed. I knew she needed "permission". She went into a deep sleep and slipped away 6 hours later. I never felt such a physical hug in life from her, but for just about 30 seconds I got this melding with divine love and joy at that gravesite that decades later I can remind myself of. When life gets so hard I can't stand it, I'm able to gather myself and slowly smile. I'm able to realize I'm here to learn. In the pain there is growth. In that growth, I am in touch with that joy once again.

His girlfriend that he was "in love with" unexpectedly died a couple of days earlier and now he is in a hospital room full of grieving relatives ( a sad scene man) as a little 7 year old boy that they all love and that he loves has just died. He has an experience in the midst of that scene that gives him such a great degree of Happiness that he has to hide his face in his hands so that all the grieving relatives in the room won't see joy and happiness all over his face. Wow!
PS... yeah I would say that it is understandable why he thought of it as seeming to be "completely inappropriate" to be seen grinning from ear to ear in the midst of that situation. Cool story, glad I watched it. Thanks for making the video Scott.
This man looks and talks so much like a slightly younger version of my Father in law who name is also Scott ironically.

For some reason you automatically know that nobody is going to believe you. That's the first thing that hit me after it happened. Second thing that I started thinking was did that really happen? The only thing that makes me know it was really was the emotional part that happened when it happened. And whenever you tell the story it makes you cry for some reason. I'm a hard man and I hate the way it makes me feel when I repeat the stories. Till this day I've only ever told 3 people and nobody in my family. Why? Maybe me watching these videos is a sign.

Corvallito i read that book,i found that book walking down a street i looked in a bin and there it was so i took it home and read it strange,it was like i was guided to it,lol
and then my Father died as i was reading that book days after these square shape lights went flying past me,i know it was my dad.

I read "Life After...." 5 times since then. The first time a year after my first reading. To my amazement, I discovered so many things that I had missed or misinterpreted when reading the first time, and then I made a rule to reread it every 3 - 5 years. Believe me or not: I changed, and my perception of the matter deepened... I was still looking for answers regarding that microsecond message I had, and today I know why it had been interrupted. So I spent nearly 25 years trying to get to the answer. And, finally got it when reading the third book by R. Moody - "Light Beyond". I was so happy I had found the answer to the question that had been tormenting me for so many years... I also bought the second book by the same author, and I follow closely every thing published or available in the public
library. It's a # 1 topic on my reading list. Even though my life path never crossed with R. Moody, through reading he became my dearest friend. A precious human life that enlightened me so much! Thanks for your posting.

Wow. To me this is more evidence that NDEs are in a way a religion, in the sense that they involve our relationship with the Light, God, Source; but in another way not a religion, because they're not defined and limited by one text, they are neverending. Just when you think you have it figured out, you find the picture is bigger. Terminology for Scott's experience would be helpful, but is secondary I think. Certainly he had an OBE (Out of Body Experience) but I'd say his experience should be classed as an NDE too, as it was near death - only it was Mary Fran and Nola's death, not his own.
What An amazing story ! Incredible for me to hear stories such as this, for so long just as many people I had kind of bought in to the lie that there’s nothing after death and no GOD no angels.. no heaven.. WOwwwww! Even before I came to hear about NDEs I heard the elders saying that a dying person would be greeted by some of his dead relatives at the time of his death.
The reason why only a few tell such stories may be that only a few come back to life after the experience.
Joseph m.j. I was talking to a cousin about how I enjoy watching videos on this subject and what they were saying. She was with a close friend who was losing her battle with breast cancer and she spoke about the relatives she’d seen and how “they looked so good” like in the prime of their life.
What a beautiful experience, and what a lovely man. He seems to be wearing a wedding ring, so I hope that means that he is now in a happy marriage.

For those who have had a SDE, how does one move past the anxiety that can sometimes follow as your mind digests the new understanding or tries to reconcile what they saw with their faith?
