Made her first film for MGM in 1944 but under other studios she became noted for her 'femme fatale' and 'film noir' roles. A re-make of my original video tribute.
She is one of my all time favorites. We will never see the likes of her again. I am amazed someone hasn't made a film of her life ,what a story that would be. Beyond all that beauty and glamour there beat a very gentle soul. We lost her much too soon.... .
I don''t know what I can add to all of these wonderful comments about Glory Grahame. As I am reading them I get tearful... what a loss. And what gets me is that we didn't even get to see her true full potential. Watching and listening to Glory I always got and always get the feeling that "You've seen nothing yet!"
The best pictorial of Gloria Grahame. I can't help but feel a little like falling' in love with her every time I see this wonderful video; this charismatic music helps. So well done.
Gloria Graham... one of my favorites. She was a very unique screen presence, and a very brilliant actress with a great range. RIP Gloria. Thank you so much for sharing this video !!
Thanks to TCM I have been catching up on my Gloria Grahame movies. She was great. Beautiful and seductive. I think Hollywood didn't maybe promote her very much on account of her private life. But that doesn't take away from her movies. So glad we still have them.
Look, say what you may, but Gloria Grahame was able to see something into her second husband's son. Like Mary Kay Leotrneau, this naive, hormonal kid would grow to become the GREAT love of her life, the father of 2 of her children. and that says A LOT!
Leslie T: that's right. I grew up with big sisters, so I feel arousal from independent women who are self assured and who make such great, uninhibited sex! Women are just so beautiful and so full of desire!
DNchap1417 In reference to Gloria & Tony, love is as unpredictable as death. In their case I feel Love did win out ; for a while at least Perhaps because it actually started in the wrong time...but.. Who am I to make any judgement? I do think when ,2 people go so long without seeing one another, then when they do & they know there's still an overpowering connection they can't ignore it.
Vivian Blaine is on my list of future projects. For Jean Simmons key in the SEARCH box 'MOVIE LEGENDS - JEAN SIMMONS' and 'MOVIE LEGENDS - JEAN SIMMONS (REPRISE)'
UserLMH She was 57 when she died on Oct. 5, 1981.You were close, & yes I believe she was working in England in a play. She fainted on the stage during a rehearsal.. The film on Gloria's life based on her final years will be out this year, based on ; "Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool ,” starring Annette Bening .

THE most beautiful woman ever...
Beautiful.
She died at the age of 57 from cancer but worked right up to the end in theater and television.
Very nice and very romantic!

And, let's not forget, a few years later, he became HER HUSBAND.

Wish I knew the music that was in the Movie Legends tribute. Does anybody know ? ?
+Karen Wayland The music is titled 'Our Street of Love' and is played by Bert Kaempfert and his Orchestra.
What picture did Ms Grahame do with Frank Sinatra?[2:35]
"It Happened In Brooklyn" (1947)
@@MovieLegendsWorldCinema Thanks.
2:30 Is that Robert Mitchum with her?
Yes it is.
