Sonam Wangchuk, Director HIAL pointed out some flaws in the current concept of Leh airport. He said that the new airport terminal at Leh can be transformed from a carbon-intensive airport to a Carbon Neutral Airport.
HIAL proposes some changes in the designs to make Leh airport a glorious example for the whole country and the world.

Firstly I would like to thank you for this particular press conference from mentor and living role model Ka #sonamwangchuk yet another inspiring and encouraging to all the friends of the world particularly in regard to solar energy rather than using carbon emissions resources.
Secondly it would have been much clearer and more understanding if there would have one on one questions answers session as Ka Sonam Wangchuk himself was requesting for questions but video was end.
Lastly I also like to express my thanks to #PMOOffice for their quick response after his tweet.

In winter, when sun rises very late like 7.10 am, and the first flight reaches very early, n passengers have to reach 2 hour prior to departure. so by that time no sun n temp is sub zero, so can it be sustainable...
But I truly appreciate your effort n knowledge...

During day time the building will be heated up by solar energy and during night this heat will be released till morning when the sun rises keeping the room warm enough .

Kindly visit Himalayan institute of alternative Ladakh. Where Sonam Wangchuk is the founder.
Here all the buildings temperatures do not go down below Plus 15°C even in harsh winter throughout day night then think where sub zero stands?? 😊
