- Between Eskdale Drive ad Bramcote Lane on a service from Toton Lane to Hucknall Bombardier Incentro 215 decides to drag its brakes and go no further. The driver followed procedure of a full shut down and reboot and also isolating the rear bogies but the fault did not disappear. Wrong line working can be seen to get past the failed tram to keep a full service in operation.

I can just imagine the guy over the radio saying “have you tried turning it off and on again?”
poor 215 this seems to be a farewell party then
It seems to be in the same place where it breaks down
I was a tram driver in Sheffield for 10 years and a good old battery on and off usually does the trick
Sadly this is nearly a daily occurrence and when one breaks the whole network has to stop
captain9fingers at least it didn't happen on my day trip to Nottingham.
Seem like he lost one of his traction motors usually when that happens it causes the brakes to drag.
I doubt the designers of the trams of the victorian era would be impressed with that. I'm guessing it's a german design....ie needlessly complicated. (yes..designed by Adtranz, a subsidiary of Daimler Benz, thanks wikipedia).
Bruh that was 120 years a go this is like 2015 DONT COMPARE THINGS FROM OVER 100 years.
Great video! Doesn't look very good!
A tram towards Hucknall was on the other direction
Good ol' battery off battery on trick. Works (almost) all the time.
Did they get a replacement tram
Probably not
@@busesinnottingham3369 this was 7 years ago, why are you responding now🤣
How it fail what happen?
Dandyes Love Queen Elsa its a trailer bogie dragging the brakes the driver had to keep rebooting which resulted in the tram failing I think
Nottingham Tram Videos No he kept rebooting because of the fault, the fault was dragging brakes, so he kept rebooting it to try and reset the bogie that was brake dragging but it kept showing
Only for the tram enthusiast. A total yawn-fest for everyone else ...
Sean Scott exactly
What was wrong with it?
Brake fault on axle 4 on the trailer bogie. The gents in orange who turned up manually isolated it to allow the tram to return to depot.
There you go, question answered by the main man himself who was at the controls! :-)
Daniel Patterson you a tram driver?
Yes and he is actually driving this tram right now tonight :-)
Yes, I'm a tram driver. I am seen driving the tram in the video, and indeed I did have the pleasure of 215 again this evening. 🙂
