Guitar powered by a hydrogen fuel cell generator

Back in 2013 we created a hydrogen fuel cell generator to power an electric guitar. The 9.5 kW generator takes hydrogen and combines it with oxygen in the air to generate electricity with the only by-product being water! Here the low temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell was passively hybridised with supercapacitors to reduce the transient loads, increase the efficiency and smoothly power our disco ball. Here it is at the H2FC BBQ at Imperial College London.
