The Nashville Trash, directors/owners of Grand Ole Opry, knew B. Helms was the next Hank Williams Senior on the Country and Western Scene but they were not about to allow an 'outsider' to still their glory. Bobby Helms' songs were not allowed to be played on radio stations nationally because of the fear of him being a major performer. These are my thoughts due to all I have read about the threats and actions taken against Helms by the Nashville gang. Maybe I'm wrong, but who knows for sure?
