Children In Need 1000 Mile Challenge

This week on the podcast, host Georgy Jamieson chats to Summaya Mughal from BBC Radio Leicester. 2 years ago Summaya couldn’t swim, now she’s helped her BBC Local Radio colleagues complete The 1000 Mile Swimming Challenge for BBC Children in Need. Not only that but she presented her daytime show from inside the pool. They talk about the challenge, how initiatives like these give a network a sense of coming together and the health and safety nightmare of doing a live radio show in water.
