1990-1999 was my favorite decade of The Undertaker. Throughout the 90s he had the best looks, entrances, themes, match types, feuds and matches. When he became the American Badass he lost the mystique of the character which he was never able to recapture.
I agree I stopped watching him after 1999. Part of it I was growing up started having GF's, but I was a big Taker fan for that mystique goth theme so I kept watching until he changed.

He didn't main event his first WrestleMania until 10 years into the game. It just goes to show you that it takes you a long time to learn the business. Even with his talent and his head start and his great gimmick he didn't really find himself until he could speak for himself and got into the ministry of darkness and broke away from Paul Bearer doing all of his talking before he really came out of his shell.

Body builders are one thing, but next to these giants they look small. Thanks for entertaining us Undertaker, the #1 stone cold killer with the choke slam and tombstone, no one looked more impressive like a man towering over someone and driving you up top to bring you crashing down to your doom. Back in 83-84 , there were quite some wrestlers came to my town. I was surprised that Mark wasn’t one of them, since he’s originally from my county. He started in Central Illinois Wrestling, which is in Danville Illinois. When I was in grade school there use to be a tavern in my town and he was a bouncer. The place had an 8x10 of him autographed. The tavern isn’t around anymore.
The American Badass was easily one of his lowest moments. Going from an unstoppable undeas monster to a biker was not ideal. Thankfully, having the Undertaker return as the Deadman was a smart decision, and him the icon that he is in WWE.
