    That SUPERTECH isn't burned.

    It depends on the car in my opinion. Newer modern cars with very sensitive transmissions must have a very high quality full synthetic high detergent transmission fluid.
    Older cars can tolerate lower quality economy transmission fluid like the Equack or Supervalue, what ever it's called.
    On my newer cars I use ultra premium auto trans fluid. On my older cars, I use Supervalue from Walmart and no issues.
    Lots of the value saver fluids can cause transmission shudder after 5,000 miles.
    The premium ones won't shudder till 45,000-55,000 miles in my cars. 4R70W.
    Walmart Supervalue fluids are good. Do not trust the dollar store fluids with some crazy brand thst you've never heard of. They're being sued in stares like New Jersey for selling sub standard fluids that has damaged people's cars.

      Gl4 only gl5 will eat up yellow metals!!

    • @JA-rn5qv
      @JA-rn5qv 4 роки тому +1

      Yes they are both actually gear oils. GL-4 and GL-5 are gear oils but some times GL-4 is referred to as "Manual Transmission Fluid" and some times GL-5 is referred to as "Differential Fluid" but the bottom line is that they are BOTH gear oil although they are NOT used for the same applications. GL-4 is designed specifically to be used where there are soft, yellow metals involved such as the synchros in a manual transmission since the sulfur content in other types of gear oil (such as GL-5) will dissolve these metals (which will then get suspended in the fluid and darken the fluid) and eventually destroy the synchros (which are made of brass) and that is precisely why you do not put a GL-5 gear oil in manual transmissions that call for GL-4. For what ever reason (perhaps his own stupidity?) Nate put the SuperTech GL-5 in the manual transmission box which calls for a GL-4 and then ran the thing with the incorrect fluid in it which had the exact results that you would expect when you run a GL-5 in a manual transmission that calls for a GL-4, and then he drains they GL-5 from the transmission, shows how it has darkened from being misused (his own stupidity) and then even worse tries to say that the SuperTech GL-5 is poor quality because it darkened from him using it in a manual transmission that is only meant for a GL-4, when in reality, the darkened state of the SuperTech GL-5 is NOT due to poor quality at all, but rather to the soft metals in transmission getting dissolved in to the fluid due to the fact that Nate misused the GL-5 and put it where he shouldn't have. The whole video is an embarrassment and should be deleted.
