Three people were recently charged at Diamond Magistrate's Court for exporting gold without a license, with bail set at $600,000 each. Opposition Leader Aubrey Norton criticized the government's handling of the gold sector, citing decreased gold declarations and increased smuggling under the current administration compared to the Coalition's time in power. Norton called for a task force to combat smuggling more effectively.
