Learn how to train future Men Engage and gender equality advocates

From July 5th to 8th, 2023 The Rwanda Men Resource Centre (Rwamrec), in partnership with Merge for Equality, a US based non-profit organization working with men and boys, hosted a training of trainers on the theme: Engaging Men in Gender Equality, Violence Prevention and Positive Masculinity. The training involved some experienced RWAMREC trainers, as well as some young passionate people in gender equality and GBV prevention in Rwanda.
Thanks to the work and pedagogy of Dr Steven Botkin and James Arana, the team was able to deepen their knowledge and skills in engaging men and boys, and in facilitating gender transformative sessions with community members. This was a transformative experience for the team itself, and contributed to strengthening the team's cohesion and commitment.
The trainees were able to come out of this training with a certificate of attendance and a lot of ideas for a transformed future within their community.
