My 890 came equipped with a VERY tight spoke rim strip to make the wheels “tubeless”. The strip is available through KTM. All of the big twins share the same rims/wheels. My brand new Motoz Dual Venture front tire leaked around the rim on both sides. It woukd be completely flat overnight. The first Rallz I purchased didn’t even provide an audible “pop” when mounting and I was able to break it down with my knee only! I had to use a bead breaker to dismount the original TKC-80. Motoz was generous enough to send a different Rallz and it was only marginally better. It did pop a small amount but at very low psi. When I compared the bead if the Motoz front and rear tires to any of the other tubless tires I have used, you can see a significant difference in the width and robustness of the other brands vs the Motoz. The Motoz beads look and respond very similar to tube type tire beads. I do admire the traction and potentially longer wear of the Motoz tires but again, I feel the bead diameters are suspect and vary from tire to tire…
Yup, I've replaced the spoke strip on both of them myself. The solution I've seen is to use silicon or some other sealant on the individual spoke nipples and then the rim seal. Not a big deal, just a pain in the ass.
There is nothing wrong with KTM rims (Akront). Motoz tires have questionable bead integrity. Compare the sealing bead of a Motoz and any other tubeless tire and you’ll quickly see how wimpy the Motoz beads are. Motoz tires are known to leak around the bead because dimensionally the fit is too loose. Bead leaks are common on Motoz front AND rear tires. Motoz tires offer great traction and wear, but clearly need to improve the bead area of their tires…
While I agree the motOZ beads could be better I've had the rims leak with many different manufacturers. I also cannot place the blame entirely on the rim itself as I've whacked it a few times on rocks etc... The spoke seal had been the problem everytime, not the bead. I'm going to silicone them all next time it's off the bike.
The ramped blocks on your front tire are from braking ... if knob pattern is not a directional you could spin it around. Not to familiar with the Motoz
I have no idea what he is saying but i can listen to him for hours 🤠

@captainoverpen - With a voice like yours you should be live broadcasting something somewhere.

Still running er. Several plugs later. Totally can swap it around, direction be damned I just need rubber.
