You remind me of my dad playing in the kitchen in the 60's on his J-200. He recorded Mule Train for Decca in 1947, and he'd love this. Thanks for sharing.
This was my best friend`s favorite song-He passed away thirty years ago due to a broken heart over a cheating wife.He was hopelessly in love with her right to the end.
Wow!! I just discovered your channel last night. I'm a huge Hank Snow fan. Been one since I was a kid and listened to my Grandfathers old 78's. I play some of Hank's stuff myself but I have to tell you; your singing and guitar playing are spot on. They are exactly like Hank in every way I can tell. You have a new subscriber...
Ryan, I have approx. 70 Hank Snow albums that I have collected since 1958. I see your placing different albums in your background. You probably have all of his recordings. If there is any that you do not have, I would be willing to send them to you. As a matter of fact, I would give them all to you. I have three instrumental LP's along with just about all the others. Including one of his last albums "Hello Love" recorded in 1973. I have loved H.S. music all my life and have refused to sell or give my albums away. However you are special guy and I see your love for Hank and his music. I believe you live in NFLD. I live in Quebec City. I have been to St. John's many times. I worked for the shipyard that built the M.V. Caribou and the Joseph And Clara Smallwood. Got to know many Newfoundlanders. One of my best friends was Robert Rideout who lives in Led Cove. Is that near your home. My e-mail address is steve-kack@sympatico.ca
Hi, I also have been a Hank Snow fan for some time. I have a decent collection of Hanks LPS but there are quite a few I couldn't find. Found many LPS have two versions even though the cover and all the info on it is the same except the records that were re issued later appear to be in stereo. A friend of mine idolized Hank and it was very difficult to distinguish his voice from Hank's. Ryan does a phenomenal job of doing Hank's tunes. I really enjoy listening to his covers and his guitar picking is bang on. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent Ryan.
I've put together a Hank Snow Collection over the last twenty years but still don't have all his LP's. Would you have any extras you'd be willing to part with? Thank you, Dave in NS.
Beautiful rendition. When Hank recorded this song in NYC, he made a mistake right at the beginning of the song. Instead of singing, 'I don't hurt anymore', he sang, 'It don't hurt anymore'. Hank wanted to take it out but the producer wanted to leave the mistake in there. Your version is without the mistake. I've got plenty of Hank Snow stories/songs. I could send them along if you're interested and if I had an email address. Regards, sta66ord
Fantastic job on this Hank Snow classic. I thought I was the only one who had covered this one on youtube. Guess not. I will certainly check out the rest of your channel.....Terry
Ryan, if you happen to see this post, please do some more Hank Snow, some with good guitar pickin', as I love yours so much. I used to have, "Confused with the Blues" on my playlist, but I lost it somehow. How about, Ben Duberry, Blue Sea Blues, Can't have you Blues, to name a few. I know there are a lot of H. Snow fans out there, so please think about putting some of his hits together for us, I really loved when you did that like ten years ago! TY much!
It would be nice to have to Mr Snow music we love to play I find it hard for a beginner to pick up tabs on a video a little help would go along way Thanks
Guitar pickers wanting to learn Hank's solo, which Ryan plays note for note, can find a tutorial complete with tab here: ua-cam.com/video/opbXFZ0m0Z4/v-deo.html
Ryan, You play that guitar just as Hank played it. I did not think he could be copied. You are fantastic .Is your guitar a D-28 Martin. I think Hank played a D-28 or a D-45.
Ryan's guitar is a D35. Hank Snow used a D28, but I think he sent it to Mike Longworth at Martin guitars to have it inlaid like a D45 and the fingerboard inlaid with his name and pearl bordering.
Hi Ryan ... been enjoying this one for years .. when did you change your channel title? Be very nice if you could do this in standard tuning and maybe just a little assistance with the fancy picking ... good to find you again
I came here cause GTA V, GTA V teach me another sight of the beautiful Music
