Honestly I cant think of any aspect in which crystal is better, character, cinamtagriphy, story, art, direction. The new version just showed me that the original got famous because a very clever director in the background turned water into wine and acted like the manga was a grand thing when it was simple at best. Crystal was a complete disappointment and a shadow of what the 90s show was. The greatest let down was the girls loss of character and unique attributes especially serena herself, who went from a lovable ditsy girl with a heart of gold to... a blank slate that trips alot? REI was also a huge hit to me, she was my favorite and just acted aloof at all times, her cheeky nature totally gone?! I kept asking myself what is this trash? Where are the scouts I know and love?! The other scouts lost their fire as well but rei and serena hurt me the most, their close and unique friendship was special and it was practically nonexistent now. They where just there.🤮

I can imagine Rei having a talk with Vegeta about their frenemy relationships with Usagi and Goku. What’s interesting is that both share feelings for their loved ones (Vegeta/Bulma, Rei/Yuichiro), even if they keep it hidden. Vegeta: “How dare you, that’s MY BULMAAA!!” Rei: “How dare you freeze MY Yuichiro into a statue!”
Well, to me Sailor Moon is so tacky af and just cheap, in case of animation, voice acting (both Dic/Cloverway and Vic dub) and especially the plot. Atleast, Dic dub is so badly performed, with the use of american slang, poor voice acting, and just that typical 90s "cool" campy approach, that it's incredibly ridiculous and funny. I've been recently, dying laughing, while watching that romance with Molly (speaking in that stereotypical Boston/New York accent) and Neflyte (which sounds like the Postal Dude lmao), with all of those cheesy and creepy, almost pdf dialogues, between them. I've also put on Oingo Boingo's "Little Girls", over the muted fragments of their interactions. It was even more hilarious, than I expected lmao.
I don't get the whole idea of how Rei caring for Usagi deep down justifies her relentless verbal mistreatment of Usagi. She literally just picks on her for no reason most of the time.

I agree. This dynamic reminds me of Ben and Gwen in the OG Ben 10 series. You have two people constantly arguing, where one is more laid-back and less serious, and the other is uptight and really serious. I don't get why people think it's an appealing dynamic because it gets old and kind of annoying. I'm glad they fixed this in the later Ben 10 shows and Sailor Moon Crystal, where Ben and Gwen care for each other without being a complete jerk to the other person, and Usagi and Rei don't argue as much in Crystal.
