Great video John. You’ve done the hard work and made it simple for people to follow. I’ll be interested to see how you get on with them over time. I’ve always felt that they were a bit flimsy and might not last long.
Thanks John. 4 years later this video has proved invaluable for getting my blinds off to clean them and l felt it would be Remis of me not pass on my thanks 😀👍
Very useful video John. I know it’s one of your older videos, but we’ve just bought Remis blinds to fit our van and this explains the fitting perfectly.
An older video I know, but love that you’ve created it for the ease of others. And I will be looking into getting a set now for my fiat ducato ! Thanks 😊
It’s good how the old videos are still helpful. I’ve got to tackle the RHS replacement as the one in our new to us van is faulty - part replacement done under warranty, not worth a several hours round trip drive to dealer to have then do it. Pete.
Well done John I have just made enquires about buying one of them for my motor home and you have demonstrated how easy it is to install with care. Very much appreciated mate.
Thanks for sharing this. I have just received my blinds and was pretty nervous to have a go at fitting myself but it does look as if even I could do it !
Thank you John, ours arrived today and your vid demonstrated the method of install down to a T. We've had these blinds on other vans and they are great for privacy. Along with being great for keeping the light out/privacy, however as you mention, they provide no real thermal. Cheers
Great detail of instructions there John. Of absolutely no use whatsoever to me as I don't own a Ducato or are ever likely to, but I enjoyed it anyway. Keep them coming and I'll keep watching!! Have a good day mate, Looking forward to the rest of your camper upgrades. :-)
Great video! Thanks John. You couldn't have made it any clearer or simpler if you tried. I'll definitely be ordering a set based on this and look forward to fitting them.
Hi john ,just installed the same blinds as you but on a Peugeot boxer camper ,I didn't like the gap at bottom of front window and also seeing bar on the side windows ,so going tint a strip along the bottom of the front window and a small strip on the bottom of side windows to hide the bar on sides and the gap on front cheers for the video
We made a little padded snake, like you use to stop drafts at the bottom of doors in the house, and that goes on the dash and blocks the light or people seeing in. From the outside you can't see the bars on ours, black bars and a black dash make it fit in quite well.
Hi, Great video, good to see exactly what needs to be done 👍👌. I normally have an iPad in the dashboard holder. Do you know if the Remis blind will close with the iPad holder pulled up?
On our 2011 Ducato the back edge of the Remis blind assembly started to rattle badly on both doors after a hot spell, not sure if it was ever screwed to the door or not, quick fix silicone sealant a good squirt stuck it back on. Magic stuff sorts a lot of squeaky moving bits. The front blind on ours doesn’t quite fit around the reversing camera screen, solution a hair bunny. The top support doesn’t allow the sun visors to go down fully either
Hi mate, you made that look easy,we have a Peugeot boxer 2002 and we use the thermal screen blinds which are great but these blinds are quick and easy, would they fit the peugeot boxer. cheers mate.
Great help John. I have only one problem; there is a parcel shelf above the top of the screen on my van. I have seen a modification on Magnum Motorhomes site, but I’m a bit reluctant to start cutting without a template. Have you or any subscribers ever done this modification?
Thx for video I’ve just bought these and looked at instructions and thought I would have to pay someone but now I think I can tackle it Don’t know if I missed a bit but I got a super fast glue gel in my kit do you know what I glue? Thx
Thanks for making this video John... I am trying to fit a DAB windscreen aerial to a Fiat, which already has Remis blinds factory fitted. I noticed you had a similar DAB aerial on the RHS of the windscreen. Hoping you can help me out with a quick question... how easy do you think it would be to remove the left hand pillar of the remis blind in order to attach the DAB aerial's self adhesive earth connector to the windscreen pillar? Many thanks - Ian
Hi John thanks for your reply it would have been Remis of you not to lol, re foam strips my van is a Peugeot Boxer with a shelf over cab so had to cut a bit off the top
Hi John great video, as all your instructional vids are. This is really helpful as I will be buying these blinds this week. Could please help. Do you know where I can purchase the tweeters. One of my mine isnt working properly and I would like to buy one. Thanks again. Take care!
Hi John & Mandy.. I have a Transit, The only place I could get this type of blinds was from Germany..? They were very very expensive.. I fitted them and yes they are ok, but I found that I was not using the side window ones as I could not crack the windows open for ventilation and stop condensation, if i did the wind made them rattle and some times pop open, and when you closed the back doors they would bellow out..? I took them off, put them on ebay and got all my money back.. I have now gone back to Thermal blinds with rubber suckers.. Great stuff. Cheers both..
Hi, Brilliant video, would you know if you can get this kit for my 2015 Boxer with a rain sensor as this seems to be an issue and searching the web appears to throw up no solution? Many Thanks
@@johnmandy Thanks for the speedy reply, the purchase link on your vid has a reference to " these will not work for models with rain sensor. I'd really love to add this to ours and with how easy you made it look you clearly know your stuff so I am tempted to go with what you say if you're fairly confident? Many thanks for your help and advice.
Hi john We just ordered the tribute 680 and was going to get the dealer to fit the blinds but might try them myself. Do you mind me asking who your suppler is and how much.
Ha, I hate it when my phone does that. My dash cam can be fitted either upside down or not so I just screwed the mount to the dash, however, the dash cam footage was too wobbly so it’s now fitted on the window again.
Hi John, really useful video as I’m going to order a set. On the video, the stick on plastic clips that need to be drilled on the side windows, are you drilling into the metal door frame? Thanks Andy
Hi John, I watched this video because I wanted to see if there were any hints on how to stop the cab blinds rattling when travelling on anything other than super-smooth roads - any ideas?
Take them apart, make sure all the fixings are tight, use felt tape on the sides where the blinds retreat inside. That’s what I’ve done & they don’t rattle at all 👍🏼
@@johnmandy Ha! Good to know. The mystery still remains, because my wife has no interest in getting any kind of motor home/camper van. She likes to remind me that at 6'8" in height I don't fit in any of them any way!😆
Did you not get a little tube of glue to hold the two halves of the rails together? When I fitted ours, the instructions were to join the two halves of each rail with glue before fitting them to the LHS pillar. They fit very well, but oh, so expensive!
I did, but it was far too cold to glue anything so I'll do that bit when it gets warmer. I think they're good value for money when you see how much they want for the outer or inner stick on stuff that you then have to find somewhere to store them, and they constantly fall off!
Great video John. You’ve done the hard work and made it simple for people to follow. I’ll be interested to see how you get on with them over time. I’ve always felt that they were a bit flimsy and might not last long.
Thanks. We had them pre installed in our last Moho and they were great, never had a single issue with them 👍🏼
Thanks John.

Hi John, thanks for sharing this, massive help in installing this on my van, really appreciate you putting this out here.

thanks for posting John We're sure that will help alot of people out who are trying to fit those blinds
Great video I’ve just ordered and will watch again when fitting thanks for your excellent presentation

Well done John very clear instructions easy to follow
Tackling this tomorrow so grateful for this video 👌🏻
Hi John, This is youtube at its best. Doesn't apply to my van but a great watch.
They look a lot better Quality than the ones in my van lad 😀
Nice job well done 👍😀🐾🍺🍟
Very Informative video John , was going to pay the dealer to fit Remis blinds to our new Motorhome but I'll do it myself - Thanks
It’s more fiddly on the right screen fitting, the other 3 parts are easy, just take your time and you’ll save a bit of money too.
Thanks for that bought some old stock off ebay with no instructions, very helpful.

Just about to do the same installation. Thanks for posting this. Really clear. Cheers
Thanks John. Really helpful
.
Good job John. Thanks again for the detail
Thanks for this, helped me out today.
So expensive, but one of the best expensive things you can buy :D
Great tutorial, just ordered a set. Thanks
Glad you like it!
We got the blinds with the van and find them to be easy to use though the side ones need to be guided carefully so the stay correctly pleated.
excellent, it would be remiss of me not to say our van already has them fitted but useful to see how they're constructed / deconstructed.
On our 2011 Ducato the back edge of the Remis blind assembly started to rattle badly on both doors after a hot spell, not sure if it was ever screwed to the door or not, quick fix silicone sealant a good squirt stuck it back on.

Hi John great video but can you tell me what the two foam strips in the parts bag are for
They go at either side of the dash against the pillar blinds.
Nice one, saved me a tonne of hassle. Cheers.
Hi mate, you made that look easy,we have a Peugeot boxer 2002 and we use the thermal screen blinds which are great but these blinds are quick and easy, would they fit the peugeot boxer. cheers mate.

Have you any idea how you remove the front blinds to clean on the inside or is it not possible to ????
You're missing one thing. Remis do extension blocks that go on your sun visors that allow them to work in the same way as preinstallation.
Hi John great video, as all your instructional vids are. This is really helpful as I will be buying these blinds this week. Could please help. Do you know where I can purchase the tweeters. One of my mine isnt working properly and I would like to buy one. Thanks again. Take care!
I’d check eBay or local fiat dealer 👍🏻
Hi john i have a bentley motorhome which is a renault traffic chassis, would these blinds work on them too please

I’ve never tried that, we had these fitted by swift in our old motor home and it had a/c so I didn’t drive with the windows open.
Hi, Brilliant video, would you know if you can get this kit for my 2015 Boxer with a rain sensor as this seems to be an issue and searching the web appears to throw up no solution? Many Thanks
It should easily clear the rain sensor. I have a GoPro mount stuck on my screen and that isn’t in the way of the blinds.

Great video John. Did you fit a flyscreen for the rear doors when open.
Can they be installed on any motorhome like sprinter ect
Any Ducato/Boxer/Relay van 👍🏼
Will this work on a Ram Promaster?
It should because I think they’re exactly the same van as the ducato 👍🏼
how to place the 3 pieces shown at 4:10? Do they have to fit in the holes at 4:15 or just against it?
Hi john
We just ordered the tribute 680 and was going to get the dealer to fit the blinds but might try them myself.
Do you mind me asking who your suppler is and how much.
Just check the video description. There you’ll find all the info you need, all my videos have all info on items featured in the video description. 👍🏼
Hi John can you tell me how you located your dash am on your dashboard I noticed it whilst you were fitting your remis blinds
Many thanks
Becky
Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by “am”
Dash camera sorry auto correct
Ha, I hate it when my phone does that. My dash cam can be fitted either upside down or not so I just screwed the mount to the dash, however, the dash cam footage was too wobbly so it’s now fitted on the window again.
Hi John, really useful video as I’m going to order a set. On the video, the stick on plastic clips that need to be drilled on the side windows, are you drilling into the metal door frame? Thanks Andy
Yes, it shows me doing that in this video.
Surely these blinds will do a good job at bouncing back the rays from the sun due to the fact they are very light in colour?
Yes they do keep the heat out 👍🏻
Anyone know where in the Netherlands or Germany I can order or install these blinds? Thanks
Hi John, I watched this video because I wanted to see if there were any hints on how to stop the cab blinds rattling when travelling on anything other than super-smooth roads - any ideas?

Thanks for the advice - I'll give it a go
Do you still get condensation on the front windows with these blinds?
As soon as you open the blinds the heat hits the glass and you get condensation, otherwise you don’t get any. 👍🏼
Don't know why I'm watching this, frankly?!? I do not have a Fiat Ducato, and not likely to here in the States.
It’s the Ram Promaster over on your side of the pond 👍🏼🚐

#1😸
How much are these?
Look for the link in the description to this product. 👍🏼
you could have done with a camera person 👍😁
Would this also work for a Dodge Promaster van?
Yes, it's the same van 👍🏻
