After watching this video, I’m alll in for the journey of Greg’s Collection and the Storage Room of DOOOOM! Long live the long-form videos, continue on the fly recording not voice over please (reference back to Missing Pieces). Also hope Greg’s Arcade is no longer banned soon!
This is a great video! I started collecting cards slightly earlier (1990-1991) and still have my entire collection in my own “storage room of doom.” I’ve been meaning to go through them over the last couple of years, just have not been able to find the time to do so. My boys and I really enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work!
Always good to hear from a fellow storage room of doom owner. Hope you can find the time to track down your collection and take a similar trip down memory lane. We appreciate you and your family watching!
Cool video, you should purchase some 90’s bball packs or a box and do a break vlog! 90’s hoops cards was prime for collecting! You’ve got me in the mood to pull out my collection! That 96’ Fleer Ultra Kobe rookie is one of my favorites that I own as well. Keep the sports card videos coming..
I have been watching people open 90s basketball cards and I am super tempted to buy a box on eBay and open them for fun. I’m actually surprised how expensive some of them are these days!
I was in my 20's around the same time as you were collecting Greg, seeing Joe Montana, John Elway, Steve Young even as an Australian they were popular, was and still am a massive 49ers fan, same with me with the Lakers going back to Magic and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar brings back lots of memories.
Hey Greg long time no speak. But after watching this video I realized how similar are childhoods were. First I love collecting sports cards , I got back into it last year and let me tell you it’s a dangerous hobby 😅I’m kinda in both spaces, I like collecting to just collect, but I do enjoy the hunt for cards that have value. I recently got 2 rookie baseball cards graded both got psa 10. Your video brought back memories of when I was a kid and my dad would take me and my 2 brothers to a local sports card shop , it was a small shop, but it had so much character to it. My dad would give us a couple of bucks and it was so much fun getting my favorite players or cards with cool poses. But anyway, I’d definitely watch any future card videos. Btw I would definitely look to see the value of your kobes, I think some of them could have value. Enjoy your new hobby!
You and I collected cards at the same time. Many of them you went through I had. Don't know where they went. I'm sure my mom threw them away. But thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I'm not a sports person, but I still enjoyed watching your enthusiasm in this vid. But I have totally thought about trying to buy an old pencil case like yours to replace the one I had as a kid.
Hi greg that's fascinating collecting things from back in the days, be careful with spending lots off money though as they may not be worth a penny you have your collection just sort through what's you've got and try sell as many as you can part with and as you say keeping the binder full off cards is good and i agree not a bad idea look forward too watching your upcoming videos enjoy keep smiling From Julie
Sports cards , rc cars , video games , odd ball guitars , classic cars and motorcycles , no legos but I collected a lot of that same stuff you have ..that Jordan’s Carolina card , even tho a reprint has a value , the kobys too ..got back into the card hobby around 2019 when the boom started again , it’s not the same any more ..I like what I like no matter what
I somehow got caught up on the 90s basketball card algorithm and now I'm getting invested again. I've even made a few purchases on Ebay. I'm excited to re-capture a little of my childhood passion for cards while also leaving the financials at the door. This is going to be just fun this time. Stay tuned as my orders should be here this week!
Really enjoyed the video! Im a huge card collector. Never care about what they are worth i just love collecting. I collect all sports cards but mainly 49ers and nascar. Haven't collected in a while because i feel like the hobby has been ruined with ppl jacking up prices but maybe one day i can get bavk into it
Wonderfull video. Would love that you look into grading. I’m heavily into grading pokemon. Not for investment, but for authentification and conservation for all eternity, especially cards that hold special meaning to me
Hi Greg, was sad to hear about you falling out of love with baseball cards as I am an avid baseball card collector and complete baseball nerd and have never even thought of how much a card is worth and investing in it, I only invest in the cards I think are cool are complete team sets from the year. They are a little tricky to get in UK but thanks to eBay and a lot of searching it’s manageable. Really enjoyed this video! - Miles from the UK
Allen Iverson went to my high-school. I never had a dark period with toys. I used the excuse that I needed them for babysitting then volunteering with babies/preschoolers who were HIV +. Then I bought vintage toys for my daughter. I still buy vintage 80s toys for my storytime. Quite a few of my fisher price sets are worth a couple hundred dollars. It's insane what people spend on them. Or original Strawberry shortcake dolls , Smurfs . I am currently buying wooden thomas stuff. My daughter has alot of Pociman cards from 2001-2006.
Nostalgia is a very powerful feeling when it comes to making purchases. I'm shocked to see how much some items that were once really cheap in the 90s (cards, video games) are currently going for. The opposite of the Starting Lineups I showed lol
I collect NASCAR diecast cars. And like you said. There’s people out there who collect numerous of things just because of the value. But I’m in the hobby I’m in. And collect what I collect. Because it might either be my favorite driver or team or paint scheme. But kinda on what you’re saying. If you’re going to collect something. Collect it for the fun and the enjoyment. Don’t just collect something for the value.
This video is really cool idk if you recognize my channel name but I like to wait a few months and will go and watch your videos I haven’t seen and am newer collector of sports cards and this collection is pretty cool especially a lot of the Kobe and 49ers cards and am more of a basketball fan and alot of cards you own are at least $1 on eBay there’s audience for anything but some pretty cool stuff I like the Allen Iverson action figure and Michael Jordan Larry Bird Magic Johnson cards are awesome hope you do more videos of the storage room of doom
The fact that it was compelling enough to keep a 49 year old British lady with no interest or experience in the subject matter watching for nearly 30 minutes is a win in my book!
First video that came into my suggestions and loved it, now I’m subscribed ✊🏼
I am so excited that this video came out. sports cards and Lego are my two hobbies

So interesting. Thankfully my parents kept loads of my toys and things, so good to look back. My son has all my lego x

Those are some awesome collections I’ve been collecting legos and I still do. Have a good day.
I'm a big football fan and I, was too young see these players play but I love football history, and these cards are history.

Cool video Greg! I have that same gray binder as you from my childhood, not sure if mine is empty too, but you've promoted me to go look lol
Good luck! Hope you find some great cards in there.

You’re doing it the right way! Keep the hobby pure.
You should make a channel for cards. I like basketball cards and football cards. I only have a few baseball but it is so fun!
I am tempted but definitely don’t need any more channels lol. I might sprinkle some card stuff on this channel when I get new cards to share.
Collecting sports cards was never a thing in the Netherlands.. so I collected Magic the Gathering Cards .. 😂
Sports cards + legos = ❤

You’re in it for the right reason!
I like your card collection.

Those Kobe’s are valuable
Next video of home alone with Greg. Greg opens up starting lineup action figures, lines them up on the edge of his laundry chute for target practice 😂
I'm 35 and there's something about card collecting in the 90s. I was just the right age when pokemon cards hit the market and ate them up lol
I somehow missed the Pokemon craze. I didn’t know anyone that did Pokemon, but I remember Magic being a thing in school.
Awesome video my man new sub
Glad to have you along
When can I start to sort, organize, and put together the Lego sets. I was never into sports. I was into video games and Lego's.
🤣
Get those Kobe’s and Tim Duncan graded their hood value graded and I think Duncan is a rookie
Greg I love to meet you one day
You never know, you might l!

I don’t know….Pokemon is pretty hot these days! I guess our family will have some of each 😀
As a British lady of 49years of age…this entire video meant nothing to me…it was like you were speaking ancient Latin to me! Heh heh heh
The fact that it was compelling enough to keep a 49 year old British lady with no interest or experience in the subject matter watching for nearly 30 minutes is a win in my book!
@@GregsWorld I’m a big fan of your channel I love to meet you one day
Deffently a win Greg 😂😂😂
It’s your soothing voice Greg…keeps me listening heh heh heh
