I'm so thankful for my son. I realize how happy and wonderful he is when I watch other babies. He does not cry unless he's hungry. He's so independent and smart. I love these mom videos, they continue to remind me why I wanted a child and how grateful I am to have him!

I love that you recognise that you went into with energy. Its hard having kids but amazing. I have 3 kids and 1 is special needs and I never get to switch off but in there day I work and I get to be me, Lisa, and thats a salvation of it own. I love being a mum but I love my job. Love it.
I was a nanny this summer and it gave me so much more appreciation for stay-at-home moms! It's such a hard job but so fun and worth it (when they're your own kids lol)! I definitely agree with Chantel that I want to wait a long, long time before I have kids!

Love the video, I think it would be interesting for Ladylike to shadow a stay at home mom as well, cause sometimes people unfortunately dont get to choose and if possible different stages of infancy, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, and 9-12. I personally chose to be a stay at home mom (until D.D. and her future siblings are older). I wouldn't change my mind or give it up for the world.
I have 10 month old, because of that I stopped working as a support worker when I had her. Hands up to any parent that works then comes back to be a parent (including my partner, even though he gets it easy with me around ;).) It's a 24 hour job! Especially when they start climbing up everything including the tv stand like mine currently is. 😑
The video title's a bit misleading. Turning up to give the baby breakfast and then leaving her at day care for the vast majority of the day isn't being a 'mom for the day'. Maybe if you had shot the video on a weekend and tailed the family for a day or two it might have been a better representation of how hard childcare really is. Every family is different but I don't think many parents I know would watch this and think it accurately shows how time consuming and draining it can be.
it's the reality of being a mom for most working mothers nowadays... So yeah, maybe it is misleading, but it's also pretty realistic for a successful hard working mother
When my sis was in elementary school the teacher told her that she needs to listen to the teacher not my parents because she's at school and the school is raising her. So my mom Kept working at home running get own business in the early morning and late at night and homeschooled my siblings and I because the teacher wad right. They were raising us and in turn grooming us into their belief system. We were trained what to think not how to think. Which is why when I have a family my husband and I will also homeschool do they're independent and want to learn, not forced to learn.
The mom is definitely raising her baby, yeah she has help and support (the daycare), but she is still the kid's mom. And why is it sad? She has a beautiful home, baby and a successful career... that's not sad, that's incredible!
