Ok, now reassemble it! lol. Question: I have same cam...the recharge plug that goes into the back under the slide up screen then has at the other end a black on chrome wierdo plug. Where does it go?? Looks like a sideways D shape with the number 723 on its side. Please comment?
Sorry not sure I understand what part you are referring to. Do you have a timestamp I can refer to? The port at 5:17 kinda sounds like what you are referring to which is a mini DV firewire port.
@@timrolfes4778 oh you meant the physical size of the screw. I misunderstood sorry. I wouldn't know what size they were but the screws in there should mostly be similar in size for the housing. You could always borrow one from somewhere else if you can't find the screw you need.

@@computersales Thanks for the reply. I found its an old firewire plug. My second family cam corder
How smart! At the end of this video, the ad that played is the Mint Mobile ad where they pretend to have recorded it on an old camcorder.
I was hoping to see how to eject the tape without power, but I see that you didn't figure that out. ;)
@@RetroDawn yeah sorry I couldn't help there. I'm guessing the manual wasn't much help either.
I hope that unit was beyond repair, the way you were taking it apart. BTW, what size screws are used to hold it together?
It was beyond the point of being worth messing with on my end. I believe it was mostly #0 Philips screws
@@computersales Cool. Thanks for the reply. I lost one screw to a little cover and I need to try to put that back on.

@@computersales Good idea. Thanks.
If anyone else asks, the screws are JIS M1.6x0.35mm pitch screws. McMaster-Carr # 96773A622.
