Police enters Isha Foundation Ashram. Foundation denies ‘raids’, calls it ‘general inquiry’ | News9

A team comprising of 150 police officers entered Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Foundation’s Ashram in Thondamuthur. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a particualr inquiry and the focus on verification of inmates and rooms at the foundation. The Isha Foundation has denied calling the police visit a ‘raid’ and termed it as a ‘general inquiry’. This after the Madras HC sought a report on criminal charges registered against the Foundation by a retired professor, who accused the Foundation of ‘brainwashing’ his daughters into living the life of a hermitess. The Isha Foundation meanwhile has said that it does not ask people to take up monkhood as it believes that adult individuals have the freedom & wisdom to choose their path.
