1. Into Hades (Intro) 00:58 instrumental
2. Before the Penance 06:48 Hide lyrics
A life without a personality
The inner transformation
Your prayers in mendacity
Betrayer of the denomination
Before the penance taken away your sins which you regret
Your impiety is lost and now you'll worship 'till the death
Go in peace, live free of sin and you will see the light
Abandon your evil lusts and pleasure, come to the almight
Please, Lord, forgive me
A sinner in disguise
Commit unholy blasphemy
Your confessions are nothing but lies
Falling into evil ways proves your apostasy
Your faith is weaker than your bad idiosyncrasy
Your viciosness remains, it's something it won't leave your soul
Life exists of deceit and treason, you will end below
The things you do and see
Insanity of your disposition
Your senseless way of life repeating itself
Before the penance
Your habits and behaviour
In insipidity
Contraction of your mind
Confess reality
Face the things you've done
Saved by charity
Revive without doing wrong
Live in uncertainty
Redemption of your sinfulness
Reiteration of memories becoming reality
Gratitude by your falseness
The atheist in you, indomitability
Allurement of evil is a vexation
After the penance I am free
A futile expectation
Live in invariability
Face the things you've done
Saved by charity
Revive without doing wrong
Live in uncertainty
Your habits and behaviour
In insipidity
Contraction of your mind
Confess reality
Face the things you've done
Saved by charity
Revive without doing wrong
Live in uncertainty
3. Affectation 03:28 Hide lyrics
In an age of death and fear
They were frightened of sunset
Detest the dark when possessed ones appear
Disturbing the peace of the dead
A deterrent tale of reality
A story made of fantasy
Searching for truth, philosophy
Superstiousness, wittingly
I believe in the resurection
The return of dead on earth
Black magic and affectation
The phenomenon of death and birth
I believe in the reincarnation
Another life, another existence
Returning in a transformation
In a time in the far distance
Looking in those eyes
Death was instantneous
Insignificant skies
Affectation, unconscious
They have died a suspicious death
Kindle the fires around their graves
The curse is now to be said
To prevent becoming his slaves
A ritual by the insanity of humanity
Executed by scepticism and irresolution
Uncertain sureness caused by deficiency
Unprovable reality of the degeneration
4. Fight the Plague 04:01 Hide lyrics
Epidemic winds blow inaudible through time
Filled with the removable form of death
Inevitability through its invisible bacterial crime
Death of an innocent on his death-bed
Inevitable death you cannot see
Fight the plague, it's running free
Innumerable loss of life through extirpation
Unicellular destroyer of the population
A futile war against the indestructible
No case of remedy or immunity
Weakening of health of the suspectible
The clinical picture of morbidity
Lethal dangerous virus circulates the sky
Creator of unbearable pain and epidemic
Lonely and not perceptibly it'll fly
Thousands of people incurably sick
Inevitable death you cannot see
Fight the plague, it's running free
Innumerable loss of life through extirpation
Unicellular destroyer of the population
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Death-rate is getting larger, never gonna end
Unless the day will come, we're able to defend
A premature dead, they cry a awful sound
Deadly infection, the antidote has to be found
Precautionary measures won't help you to survive
The chance you got infected is big and unstoppable
Anxiety makes you can't lead a normal life
Devastate the epidemical disaster can't be impossible
Inevitable death you can not see
Fight the plague, it's running free
Innumerable loss of life through extirpation
Unicellular destroyer of the population
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Epidemic winds blow inaudible through time
Filled with the removable form of death
Inevitability through its invisible bacterial crime
Death of an innocent on his death-bed
Inevitable death you can not see
Fight the plague, it's running free
Innumerable loss of life through extirpation
Unicellular destroyer of the population
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Fight the plague
Fight the plague

Martin's vocals are almost like Sheepdog of Razor but more restrained
before and later martin van drunen the best vocals of pestilence
...and the best Death Metal vocalist in general ...imo
I dunno I like the third album with Patrick the guitarist singing again personally. He developed a pretty good death growl. Martin's vocals are pretty good on consuming impulse but his earlier stuff especially the second demo is pretty bad. Musically the demos and first 3 albums are great. I just think they would have made a huge impression and impact with the right vocalist in place.
@@Draggen yeah I would have to respectful disagree. But that why everyone has an opinion and like what they like. I would say Chris Barnes, Mikael Akerfeldt, Thomas Lindberg, David Vincent , Craig pillard, or mikael staine
Every album or demo is what it is and it wouldn't be that way with other members. I respect the members on each work and do not compare. I cannot imagine "Fight .. the ... Plague ..." refrain with Martin, the song is what it is. The rest is dogmatism for me.
Man, i’ve been looking for this DEMO for years.
I recall getting my hands on this DEMO back in the days.
First song has always remained in my mind and the riff unforgoten.
Long live Pestilence with inicial line up.
Cheers
Bought it back in the day at a live concert - still have it!

esto no es thrash
Sí, es Death.
Adios!
Si lo es
Que feo eso
I think the music is quite good though obviously this is an early amateur/independent recording. The vocals however are pretty bad. Basically the vocals are just spoken and not sung, growled or with any real harshness. They aren't really like your typical death metal or even thrash style....musically I like this earlier stuff its more of a thrash/death mix. With better vocals this would be a great demo. I know Martin would develop his death growl. I guess I was just never super impressed with any of his work. Asphix is a bit better. The previous demo has Patrick the guitarist singing in his early style which I like better than Martins early vocals. Patrick would return to vocals on the third album on which I like his developed style. Musically the first 3 albums are great. The first one still has those thrash elements. The second is full on classic death metal. On the third album they develop a more technical death metal style with a more progressive approach. I always though with the right vocalist pestilence would have made a big mark on the scene.
Even though I disagree in some parts this is the only comment about pestilence lineups that stands, musically speaking.
I love these vocals!!! So tired of the screams, growls and grunts.
I'm surprised more bands didnt do this,I seriously like these vocals...
Jared u are gay
@@coolermann8636 Sounds like you are a bit butthurt over me talking about your boyfriend Martin. Like I said he doesn't do rusty trombones anymore so he's all yours.
