@Mario i wouldn’t buy these but I believe the noise canceling is really good. I have the AirPods Pro and the noice cancelling is already really good with them.
@Mario Curious how good the ANC and comfort are on these, if they really worth the $550 compared to the $298 Sony WH-1000XM4's in a real world test. For the money instead of buying two of these headphones you could buy two M4's and still have left over for a Digital Only PS5 if they had them in stock LOL The space grey versions look fire though! I like how you can remove the cups but I wish they weren't so expensive to replace.

This is somehow true, at least for me. I used to be using sub $400 headphones as an average music listener, but I recently tend to look and buy higher-end headphones (compared to headphones like Sony WH-1000XM4) for different purposes as a sound designer (for films, not music) and music producer.

Honestly, it is just to expensive. The quality and everything is amazing but i wil never put more then 250 on Earphones. My airpods are stil good after 2 years and i love them.
Same for me, and I’ve gotten where I prefer earbuds over headphones because they’re more versatile. I would only get these if I was obsessed with music quality or worked in the film or music industry

Just FYI, shipping is delayed because there was a last minute change before manufacturing, so there wasn’t nearly as much supply. So, it’s not necessarily that the demand is there (which it could be), but it’s just how limited the supply is

He also said Apple made the AirPods Max expensive probably because they are trying to compete with really high end headphones. Jud is just really impressed with the headphones which is why it seems like he’s biased, but I don’t think he is.

Haha! Even the average consumer sometimes spends stupid amounts of money. That said, I don't think most reviewers will say you should spend this kind of money on headphones. They will probably say it's extremely good, but poor value. Wait for the cheaper version. But even then, poor people will still buy the expensive model, because you can't stop nature. So what you gonna do?

As much as you might claim that you can’t afford it, the truth most likely is, hifi audio is just not a priority for you. My guess is, just like the HomePod, for someone who wants high quality audio, these are low priced, sleeker and a lot more approachable when you compare it to other hifi audio systems that deliver comparable quality. Off course, there is no upper limit to what you can spend for audio, so it’s not going to be the best. But it’s going to be a good middle ground for the average consumer who wants hifi audio.

Interesting point about seeing people "walking around the streets" while wearing these. I bought them because I'm on my computer all day for my business making calls and receiving calls. The price isn't has hard to swallow since I'll be on the all day, 5 days a week. Thats a very interesting point you made. I'll be curious to see if these do turn into a "Beats" style headset where people are using them during their daily commute. To me, they seemed more like a "studio" type of headset. I've been using my Beats Studio 3 for what I mentioned above and intended to replace them with these.

I literally bought a small, very comfortable sofa with a similar price tag. That price tag is ridiculous. I bet Playtronics would sound better than that and are insanely affordable.
"Transparency" and "Sound cancelling" ain't gonna cut it. Like avgConsumer said, there are other products similar with great quality.
There are products that are already around for a better price with similar or better quality. There is also the open or closed headphones which gives a different feel of sound.
In my opinion, Playtronics hybrid headset gives a very good quality for less than $70 and they fit in smaller space than the ones shown. If for higher price with very good quality sound I could go with Beyerdynamics which are around for $300 to $400.
Too much Base ruins the quality of music, that's why I prefer Beyer's in this case. But like everything, I cant justify apple's product without checking it myself.

If you took away the price and the accessories the apple cans are best, but in terms of value the other cans beat these things to death. Plus the absolute idiots at apple decided there are gonna remove the aux chord, plus the other cases that the other headphones have way better protection, and another thing is that you need the case to charge the dang thing.
