The loungefly bags at hot topic are real and authentic. But the loungefly bags at hot topic are made different just for the store. So the loungefly bags can be sold at a lower price point.
I have over 100 loungefly and yes- the hot topic bags are like this for the most part. Sometimes they'll do special releases with nicer quality ones, but not often. I do still pick up some hot topic bags every now and then if I really like the print and I use them as the bags I just toss around and don't really care if I wear them out in the rain, etc.
Wow! 100? That's insane. I'm trying to get to 10. They are much cheaper. I'm going to give it to my 3 yr old next Christmas!
It's so funny seeing the evolution of Loungefly which use to be just a name under Hot Topic originally and now owned by Funko. Yes, the HT LF bags are considered a more entry-level option for those who want a cute design but obviously sacrificing the quality. I hated the look of the tag vs the metal logo plaque which to me was the first sign it was cheaper. I'm glad you'll have a cute December bag to enjoy. I personally own about 5 LF and a Danielle Nicole. It's quickly becoming my newest obsession haha Thanks for sharing!

I am a Loungefly collector as well and the cheaper Hot Topic and Spencer’s bags are low on my list. Hot Topic sells a few of the nicer grade of bags but not many. I need my decorative inner linings, padded straps and steady zippers that’s why I would rather get mine from Boxlunch, ShopDisney and small shops

Boxlunch and Hot Topic are the same though.
Is quality really better at one?
@@vanessacortez1991, they are sister stores but very different and yes, the bags that BoxLunch sells are of higher quality then Hot Topic. There are very few small shops that sell the lower quality bags as well. It just all depends on what you are looking for.

I agree with you 100%. I ordered a Loungefly backpack from Amazon that turned out to be from Hot Topic. As you said you can tell from the cheaper materials used like straps, zippers and the placard. Very disappointed with it and will be more careful in the future.
Yeah, you typically get what you pay for unless the loungeflys are on sale.
Where is the best place to buy loungefly backpacks? Good quality ones. Directly from loungefly on their site?
@@miryahross I have purchased 6 Loungeflys from Amazon. The first 5 were great quality but unfortunately the last one was not. I've also purchased Loungeflys from Gamestop so sometimes it's a crap shoot.
@@miryahross usually the price is the first giveaway. If it’s under $60 it’s probably made cheaper. Check out shop Disney. Loungefly. 707 street. Pink ala mode. If you look at a recent loungefly video of mine there are coupon codes in the description.
I have the hot topic bag as you and i have 8 regular loungefly 2 are from shop disney and the rest are from resellers like 707 and grotto treasures. I love the hot topic LF bags i dont have to worry about them getting scratches and whatnot vs. my others. I guess it depends on preference. Happy shopping 😊

Great! I just gave my hot topic loungefly to my daughter yesterday!
I’m incredibly picky about how I pick my loungefly. First I really have to enjoy the design and all of my backpacks have to have the metal plates somewhere on the backpack. This is why I don’t really purchase them from Hot Topic or BoxLunch because alot of the designs don’t have the fancy plate.
I agree! I haven't gotten another one from Hot Topic or BoxLunch again.
Just think you are only wearing it for over a month, then you put it away. My daughter brought a Stitch LF mini backpack to WDW Parks and she never had any issues. I bought the NBC HT mini backpack. It’s so cute. Plus you can use HotCash and it’s cheaper. I did cave on Amazon and bought the WDW Parks cookie ears and bag. It was on my grail list, and I got a deal on that one. BL has better quality LF mini backpacks. They have the side pockets and LF zippers. Plus you can use BL money to save on your bags.

Is box lunch the same quality as HT?

They make the same bag at hot topic thats different that the one sold on the site even tho it looks the same? Im scared now cause I ordered some bags off hot topic and i dont want them to be different than the ones on lounge fly site :/ they are same price and everything im confused :( are they the same?
I think hot topic sells the nicer quality now. If you paid $70 or more than they should be the better quality!

I feel that HT used to have quality bags. Some of my first on the channel were from there. But when the emblems went soft I feel HT bags lost their appeal! Love the video and the topic discussed!!!!
