I could care less about Nate and Zari together, but it doesn't bother either. I felt the same about Nate and Amaya but I ended up liking them after the writers developed their relationship.
I like Nate and Zari as a couple. The chemistry is definitely there. The only issue with FBT seems to be that she wants Zari/Charlie because she seems to prefer characters being homosexual or bisexual rather than heterosexual (and that's fine, as everyone has their preferences), and honestly there seems to be more chemistry between Nate and Zari than Charlie and Zari. Truthfully, this is just kind of endemic of FBT's entire repertoire, where she seems to be over the top about everything in regards to feminism and LGBTQ issues, to the point where she seems to miss an obvious explanation or point because she's too busy examining the minutiae of the situation. If she wants to preach a message, that is her right, and I defend that right. I am pro-representation and pro-LGBTQ even though I am, as a friend put it, "so straight I eat my hot dogs sideways." However, when she oversaturates everything like she has a tendency to do, the message gets lost in the noise.

Yeah. Based on how Emily and others are reacting to Zari and Nate, it just feels to me like they're just butthurt because it means that Zari isn't gay. And they're acting salty about it. Lol
To be fair, the Nate/Zari pairing does make sense. In her personal time loop, thanks to Gideon, Zari did spend the most amount of time with Nate, getting to bond with him on a deeper level than the rest of the Legends. Her being concerned for Nate now can be seen as that attachment manifesting again, only this time the "playing" a couple is making her actually think of him romantically, with Nate, naturally keeping a healthy distance from Charlie, would also be considering it as well. Whether this relationship works long term or not is up in the air, as there are 2 problems with the relationship, 1) Nate is the equivalent of Bruce Wayne when it comes to relationships, having a lot of meaningful ones, but none that actually stick, and 2) Zari's very existence is in question, as her position as someone from the future makes any drastic change, or perhaps even a chain of minor changes, in the present timeline likely to affect her personality (not her life as she is clearly already born as seen in a previous episode). Considering how much heavy time travel is in the current season of the Flash, the chances of radical shifts in her personality are actually very plausible, specially when she isn't protected from changes like the Speedsters are. And considering that Crisis is dropping by next season for the full arrowverse line up, changes in characters' lives and personalities are probably already being discussed in the writer rooms.

And considering Crisis is coming, its basically the perfect excuse for drastic character changes. A good example is Alex from Supergirl. We are already seeing her changed from one season to another, with different traits of hers shifting. If Crisis happens then its possible the Alex we get afterwards is not the Alex from Earth 38, but instead the Earth 1 Alex from Elseworlds, with whom Kara may have to build a new relationship with from scratch. Changes like that can happen, so who knows what can come to both Zari and Ava, as their unique relationship with the present makes them perfect to change.

Hi! I haven't really seen a good comment about this in this comment section, sooo I ship Zarlie and i ship it a lot. In fact, Zarlie as a ship is kinda important to me personally in a way that i won't go into. But. There's been so much hate on Nate x Zari in this fandom lately. People are hating on the writers and the actors, messaging them and being rude and hurtful. This is the kind of toxic shit that scares me to death. It's awful and unnecessary and harmful. In the end, it just doesn't make any sense. The writing in this show is amazing and, while i'm not on board with the ship, i can objectively see why someone would find it cute. Everyone has different opinions and they shouldn't get in the way of enjoying the show. I love your reactions SO MUCH, i agree with you on a lot of things and i just generally enjoy your videos.
