The black interior looks worse and cheaper than the light tan! You can see the blemishes and the creases and the shine with the black leather, it looks like crap compared to the tan, It reminds me of 80s Cadillac black leather. Well done. Sounds like two fantastic examples. Safe and reliable to boot.
3UZ never got certified. You’re thinking of the 1UZ.
Bought a 2005 a year ago from the proverbial little old lady from Pasadena with 39,000 miles on it. There's no way I would risk the repair costs of a comparable MBZ S series or BMW 7 and it definitely can be argued the LS was a better car when new.
Great purchase and equally great points. The reliability and low cost of operation really makes the LS a truly special car.
I was actually looking at this model car for a little while to buy one.
There are still a good amount of them out there…and some are infinity clean and well maintained.
1987 Toyota spent 1 billion US dollars to develop the first the Lexus 400 which translates with inflation in 2024 to 2.6 Billion!! Ponder about that for a second
It's so wild how much they spent to enter the luxury market. In retrospect, I'm very much sure they're happy with that dollar amount given the brand's success since then.
@@autoobsessivegarage Wow, that is about 20% of how much Alfa Romeo spent on the development of the Giorgio platform 😄
I Love my 2006 LS430 never getting rid of mines 🤝😎💎😍🥰.
It will always be right there for you too.

Love my 04!❤
Heck yeah!
20k car!..... if it had black interior
I’m with you. I’m hat black interior is pretty damn rare right?
And $25k if it had saddle 😉
The black interior looks worse and cheaper than the light tan! You can see the blemishes and the creases and the shine with the black leather, it looks like crap compared to the tan, It reminds me of 80s Cadillac black leather. I don't know why people love the black so much, The tan makes the car look thousands more expensive!
I just read that the years 2004,05 and 06 had recalls for airbag issues. Wonder if they repaired every car????
You can certainly contact your local dealer and they may be able to tell you if yours has been done.
They go for over 20k at bring a trailer auctions.
It’s truly wild…but still fantastic bang for your buck even at that cost level.
Too bad in most of Europe, the car tax is based on the displacement, and not power/age/class etc. We could never drive such good cars because it costs 50% of the car value just to own, each year!
That is such a bummer and an archaic manner to assess tax. Someone should really rectify that.
Strange but i always get a "sports" kinda excitement driving mine still after 6 years owning one actually two of them. It is one second faster than an IS300 0-60.
That V8 certainly moves the LS, especially in a straight line.
You already know it is

2005 UL Here
Nice, the most ultra of luxury options.
UL is sweet
You don't buy that car to race or for gas mileage. Idk why so many reviewers review it through those lenses
Not sure I’ve ever seen it cast in that role. I’ve always perceived it as more of a luxury cruiser.
Own a 2004 while the car is excellent having a problem with check engine light/trac code is small air leak anyone else have that problem if so any suggestions
日本人も、これがこれまで造られた日本車の中で、最高の車だと認識しています。
just repeating it's a great car is not helpful. facts, details, comfort, noise levels. Be specific. Criminy sakes. Get to the point!
But did you know that it’s a great car???!!!
But did you know that it’s a great car???!!!
Many fans of the LS here. Me as well. I have owned a Lexus LS400 back in the days. Great car, but calling a car "the best car of all times" is meaningless. It depends om so many factors. Cool down.
Based on your elaborate and expertly penned dissertation, I feel compelled to change the title of this vid….nah maybe not.
The LS430 commonly receives exceptionally high praise in both objective and subjective metrics. It is honestly the most perfect car for those very same reasons.
I’m sure there are a few LS fans around here that may echo that praise.
Thanks for checking out the review!
Lexus will never drive like a Benz.
You’re right, it’ll drive much better and longer. I own both
Thems fightin’ words. I’ve driven plenty of both, and I’d say depending on the specific matchup it can vary.
@@autoobsessivegarage the S class and E class drive way better. Even my C class drives better than a Lexus.
While they that might be true I see a lot more LS’s on the road then Mercs from the same era. A true testament to their build quality. Though one might value the driving experience over long term reliability
