  • Tell the Story is a Christmas song written for the Dr Triplett's 2008 concert in St Mary's Parish Church, Hayes. The tune is from the "Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves" in Verdi's opera, Nabucco.

    Tell the story,
a light has come into the world
It's the light and the hope of all the nations.
Oh, the glory, hosanna the angels sing,
For salvation has come as a child, born as a King.
Prince of Peace, Mighty God, Wonderful Counsellor,
In a manger lies helpless the great Creator.
Oh, the glory, hosanna the angels sing,
For salvation has come as a child, born as a King.
So rejoice and be glad, tell the good news,
    Jesus has come!
He's the baby, born to virgin Mary.
King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Light of Light, Son of God,
So draw near to the stable in wonder.
Can we fathom the depths of God's mercy?
Can we measure the breadth of His Love?
Oh, the glory, hosanna the angels sing,
For salvation has come as a child, born as a King.
Listen to the song the angels in wonder sing,
With the shepherds bow and worship the new born King.
    Praise the Lord, Amen.
The singing is accompanied on a Yamaha PSR 1100 keyboard
