In this video, I take you through my assembly and setup of the cyclic servos and run through the complete head setup on my Thunder Tiger Raptor E550FBL heli. This includes swash leveling, min/max pitch range, max cyclic deflection, and limiting swash travel.
I have found that there are various methods to head setup. There are several ways to achieve this, but this is my way. There may be other methods that work equally well, or better. As usual, don't get hung up on the specifics -- such as what tools I use -- but rather focus on the principles. No matter what your method, you are still going to want to ensure that these things are completed.
As usual, I try and throw in a few random tips to help the new builders out...and sometimes I even give the experienced builders a tip or two! : ) If you have any tips for me, feel free to let me know in the comments. Feedback is always appreciated!
The Soko Kit that I used for this setup can be found at www.soko-heli-t... and the video I referenced can be found at • RC helicopter quick se...

Hey i am trying to get stash of spare parts but i cant find frame set anywhere on stock. do you know any good rc store to keep rappy parts on stock (main frame set, tail case etc???
i cant get my servo direction to work. all directions are wrong with my e360 help
The Spirit level on my Soko gauge is not even close to the digital readout and I tried to calibrate it. Any tips? Also, where did you get those little magnets? R.O.G.
The two numbers don't have to match at all, actually. You could really just use the top spirit number for this roe of stuff, and use the bottom number when you need to zero to something else.
You have to zero that bottom number each time use the gauge. It zeros to what ever angle it's at when you turn it on I think.
The only reason I set them to match for the video is so you don't have to worry about what number to look at.
Magnets are from Harbor Freight. You can find them at Walmart in the craft section also.
pretty nice
Great Video, Thanks. liked
also the speed on each servo is different. left aileron is fast, right goes up then down very slow when it should move in one direction
Sir;
How are you? great job but I could see how or what did you move to adjust the section A and B. What switch or bottom did you touched to get it calibrated, thanks.
