I’ve just discovered your channel with this video and just discovered what’s happened to Ebisu circuit and this side of Japan... I feel so sorry for everybody there...Japanese and you guys. I’m a big car lover, I live just nearby the Paul Ricard racetrack in France (Paul Ricard Circuit du Castellet), I was born in 1980 and grown up by going to this circuit every weekend etc. I know very well how huge place in our hearts these circuits can have... I’ve just gave money on the GoFundMe Ebisu circuit, I saw your video during the earthquake then you went to the circuit and God......so hurtful so I gave just 11$ because actually I’m in debit but next month I will give more. I sincerely hope that Japanese are fine even if I know they are used too but it should be always terrible for them to see their dragon land so angry... I hope the best to everybody and of course to Ebisu circuit. Big salut from a Japan lover, and a car lover, from France.🇫🇷 Vinz.🙋♂️
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my login password. I love any tips you can give me
@Keagan Kieran Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@@geraldrogers9481 is it? it looked too shaky and it seemed like he even switched hands so i figured that he was driving while filiming. If not then my bad.
Yeah that's what I don't like about a lot of Japan streamers: Coffee can in one hand, camera in the other, twitter/youface on phone with left foot asking for subs likes comments notification bell facebook blabla blabla bladediblaaaaaaaaah, leaving MAYBE right foot for everything car driving related.
lol I heard the guys that love to hit the Minami jump have some pretty crazy alignments and suspension set ups meant specifically for the jump, like alignments that favor a particular side of the car to either get more air / height on the jump or to get better sticker landings.. with the FR being yeeted, maybe he should get somethin beefy and set it up just for the jump.
Not only the circuit needs help, many other Japanese get affect from earthquake too. Besides saving all the money for your Starbucks, perhaps you can drift less and donate the money you use on the drift tires to help people affect from the disaster. Love your video Sam!
Sucks that the missile broke, but then again that's the missiles job. What's worse is it happened so early in the weekend. I just hope that there is no body damage in the strut tower or anywhere else around the wheel area. Thank goodness you have the KTR for Mr. Reliable transportation when the drift missiles breaks or goes boom. Also good to see Ebisu at least partially open and able to run and keep it's name out there in the drifting community. I also hope that the Chaser is ready for that special event you mentioned. Keep up the awesome content.
I crashed twice (slowly) at Minami on the wet, but eventually, wet days are parts of my best memories at Ebisu. Very good to learn at low speed and not using a single tyre in a whole day :D Surely this bump is very hard on chassis though... Hope to be able to be back there at some point in 2021. I may need a few SR parts on site ;) Love your work man. Cheers from France
Entered for the give away 2 weeks ago hahahaha. Love your videos damnit I’m tryna get that ecu for a drift 1969 corvette. It’s sick I got an angle kit for it and might 1jz swap it
U can have custom angle kits like knuckles and crossed over suspension from other cars and corvettes of newer years I just need someone who can fabricated new brackets. I already have double wishbone suspension in the rear
Damn I just done this in my s14 the other day in the rain too! Crazy we had the same problem in the same week except I smashed into a curb down the road from my house 😅 would love a good run down on how your doing this bc I gotta do mine! Much love from New Zealand bro 💯
I think the lower control arm broke because the wheels hit the ground like at an angle , like the wheels were facing where the car was facing and when the wheels hit the ground they could not hold the weight and the angle of the chaser which is how it broke. Not because of the jumps i think i am not sure.
For additional Ebisu money, might look into a sort of Ebisu rebuild "plank owner" type thing. Where you cut out A10-sized (easy to ship) limited Edition bits out of anything that would just end up in the land-fill. For example; cuts from a door from the toasted kei truck, signs, or shell of a mashed up vending machine.
sam your content is so exclusive there is no comparison to adam or tommy or anyone i absolutely love it youre so lucky the only thing i can request is that you can check out top secret again
You can hear the control arm break on the run-up before the jump itself. There’s a loud snap noise that doesn’t happen on any of the other laps previous.
Best life. Love your video, love Japan and Japanese. Can’t wait to come back in Japan, this is the country where I feel the most relax and serein, what a great country and great people... Big salut from France 🇫🇷 Vinz. 🙋♂️
I wonder if they can use the technique of Mechanically Stabilized Earth around Ebisu to help keep it stable. It’s a technique they use in the USA to build massive over passes. It’s basically like putting rebar into concrete, but into the soil, making it way more stable and earth quake resistant. Soil uses friction to stay together, MSE increases that friction. I would guess if they are able to convert some soil into MSE Soil without disrupting too much, they will. Specifically on that giant hill next to Nishi, and maybe some surrounding hills around Minami. A great example of what MSE does is the viral video of the car being held up on 1 wheel on a tiny MSE sandcastle, they used layers of sand combined with layers paper towels in between the layers of sand.
Maybe they should send all the wood to a paper mill and have ebisu edition paper. They could sell it to cover the extra costs that always crop up during a build of that scale.
I’m learning about hydrostatic pressure in school, and like what needs to be done to keep soil where it needs to stay... these repairs kind of seem like a waste of time, I haven’t seen a single retaining wall... yeah they pack soil under the asphalt but water gets in that soil, without a retaining wall or proper drainage in the soil...
Ebisu Cameras coming in clutch🤝
I have been wondering since the day it happened if the Ebisu live cams caught any of the landslide / earthquake on cam. 🤔
8:09 when you haven't seen her in 2 weeks.... then you keep reminding your self 8:32
she only gets wet over lz
Absolutely love the vids Sam. Put a smile on my face when I see them keep it up 😄
16:18 I knew that nosie happened before jump
Was gonna say exactly that
I think it split when you heard that sound, and when he hit the jump, once the weight was removed, it split in half.
i love how the community are so kind and giving to a racetrack id say 95% people have never even been there. its crazy. love this community

One of the only automotive youtubers I watch daily when uploads. There’s not many in Japan like sam, but you do have albo and noriyaro
Noriyaro makes some good content but he doesn't drive enough anymore
@@Chocolate_dragon his recent content is all about driving
And Robbie :) He's OG, so even when he shows up at an event without a car, someone lets him drive theirs ^^

i love it how calm u are. Your car just broke and you’re laughing 😂
For the content
Yeah but broke it jumping Minami. How cool is that?

Awesome footage of the jump, you could really see were and when your lower arm snapped.
