I have the Dyson supersonic hairdryer and I got the airwraps attachments but the air is coming out the sides because it won’t go all the way so the air is going out the sides. Anyone know what I can do
All I can say is WOW Milana!! Both sides look the same on camera! For $40 you can’t go wrong! I’m a licensed cosmetologist and use the Dyson supersonic hair dryer for my work and I have just ordered these attachments and will be delivered tomorrow on prime! I am blown away by the results! XOXO 😘

After I saw your video, I bought a pair of these attachments and they worked great with my Dyson Supersonic. I know there's a tradeoff with the lower price, but I have to say that I'm definitely willing to live with a little more money in my pocket. No one can tell by looking at my hair how much I spent on my tools. My hair looks better than before and my style lasts a few days. A win/win for me. Since I don't have an Airwrap, I really don't know what I'm missing not owning one, but I did want it. Just that price! Thanks for turning me on to these attachments. I bought a set of these 3rd party attachments for my Dyson Supersonic from Amazon , and they kept making my Dyson overheat and shut off. I ended up returning them because I didn’t want to break my Dyson. I guess the lesson is use at your own risk.
I have the babyliss airstyle which is a hairdryer that mimics the airwrap and it has a curling attachment very similar to this one where you wrap the hair around. Every-time I tried to use it the device would overheat and switch off within 10 minutes of use and I would have to wait ages for it to cool down. I think the air doesn’t have anywhere to escape when using attachments like this
So glad I saw this message…was so excited and ready to purchase because after buying the dyson hairdryer was not ready to splurge on the air wrap and thought this was the perfect solution. Guess not!
I bought the attachment and use it on second heat setting and highest air. They work extremely well. Only issue I have is sometimes the barrel comes off if I’m pulling too hard since it’s only magnets holding it on.
Hopefully Dyson will come up with something like this or lower the price on the Airwrap because the price is outrageous besides they should give you choice of attachments that alone can lower the price. Not everyone will use every single attachment that comes with it.

You mentioned that the barrel on the air wrap was shorter than the 3rd party’s dryer attachment but dyson does sell longer barrels for longer hair. I purchased these and it was so worth it. Very well done review, thank you for your input! I got super excited to see after market attachments for my dyson dryer. Before watching the whole thing, I was about to head off to Amazon and purchase the attachment. But, after watching the whole thing, I’ll probably hold off for now. Both were beautifully done though. And- you made a good point about how short the dyson barrel is. I wonder why they don’t make it a tad longer.

I just switch it off between strands after curling each one when I spray them with hairspray. Doing the cool shot for 10 seconds before you release the curl helps it cool down, as well. My Dyson supersonic is fine when using these curling attachments, cause it never overheats the way I use it.
One thing I’d be very careful of with this: your hairdryer overheating. I say this because I used to own the babyliss airstyle which has a lot of similarities to the airwrap and has a curling attachment like this. The issue is after 10 minutes of using that attachment the device switches off from overheating and I actually found it nearly impossible to use for how much the attachment caused it to overheat. I think the fact you are wrapping so much hair around especially if your hair is thick/ long that the air has nowhere to go. I think you could risk damaging your hairdryer from this
@@fedey2k1 it’s a hairdryer with a metal curling attachment that looks like this one. If that can overheat so easily then I don’t see why this one couldn’t also. Someone in the reviews has also mentioned their dyson overheating from using the attachment and she said herself in the video the attachment got very hot

Dyson made new longer attachment for the air wrap! They made be sold separately through the main website. Looks like att new box set with default with the longer barrels
I just looked then up and they are $50 each, so $100 for curling both ways.. Still crazy expensive. Reviews also stated that their dyson was killed by them
A fee months ago a bought the tulip hair in styler from eBay I don't remember what I paid for it.... It has a buttons on it that you set for curling your hair to the right or left or you can put the button on to automatically alternate the curls for you... I have the button set to automatically alternate the curls.for me..... You have to use very little amount of hair so it doesn't pull or get stuck.... With hair that is waist length or longer it will take you over an hour to curl all of your hair.... You can set the curls times to 5 seconds 8 seconds or 12 seconds I am happy with my results when I use this hair tool to curl my hair

Come on for the price difference who cares about the minimal amount of shine your getting.... on camera they look near identical.... curious, is there a dryer (dupe) that's affordable and that attachment would fit onto?
@@DanaALittleBit I don’t think I heard her mention what she used, but depending on your hair type, I’d go into your hair stylist and they’d recommend the best product for your hair, Kerastase have some lovely hair products that I use along with their shampoo, conditioner and hair oil for after drying my hair, it makes my hair silky soft and shiny. Hope this helps, I know she won’t answer your question, never does 🤷🏼♀️❤️❤️

As a hair stylist, you should let your hair air dry abit before using a blowdryer to prevent heat damage. It doesn't need to be as dry as how she had it in the video though, I agree it defeats the purpose a little x
I own the Dodson air wrap and don’t know much about the other days on hairdryer, but I don’t remember seeing any official days on curling attachments with this hair dryer. Seems like Dyson missed something. Also this might help anyone disappointed when the Dyson stock is put as I am. I want the new air wrap and no stock.
I would advise not to use any attachments on your dyson if they are not original dyson attachments. Due to dysons technology any third parties attachments can destroy your dyson.
I got mine from Ali today. They look exactly the same as the genuine dyson ones. I will just be using it on my clients on the mid temp setting not hot so don’t burn out my dryer
Never use heat to dry your hair consistently. Let it air dry to 80% dry, then use heat. These beauty girls literally don't know what they're talking about

I can’t wait for the day companies make dupes of the Dyson Airwrap. It will be awhile, though. The hype of the official Airwrap has to fade.

The airwrap seems to have been made for fine hair, so you’re in luck. Mine is thick and long and the curls don’t last.
I love my air wrap and this is cool to turn the reg blow dryer into a one!!

well the dyson curls were definitely more bouncy and shiny and probably lasted longer. but the dryer attachments are a good alternative

Better Business bureau US has Dyson rated at 1.07 I found this out the hard way, I putchased the air wrap. You have fount a better choice.

I have that one. The ion dryer with the wrap and it works perfectly. It does get hot though and no cool shot. I love it.

Something to protect your hair from the heat and damage that can happen, keeps your hair in good condition especially if it’s coloured. :)
