Hui spent over 10 minutes, truly taking his time, slowly explaining all the details behind ‘Basquiat’. As he emphasized, there was a really strong message that he wanted to express through the song.
It seemed that he really wanted Universe to know all the details behind the inspiration, writing and creative process, and the cute stories in between- so I tried my best to translate it into English.

tbh... i kinda wonder how it would've been if ptg kept basquiat and used it as a comeback instead of releasing it on rtk! i feel like it would've had a great impact as a title track, it has a sound like dr bebe and lyrics like like this, it has that authentic pentagon/hui sound, and the choreo is one of their most powerful ones yet. but either way, i'm grateful hui and pentagon put together a song and performance with so much meaning, it's really really beautiful

I'm here after watching that performance on road to kingdom finally.... I hope he knows... He's one hell of a singer. If he doesn't, I urge every one of Pentagon's fans to tell him. I also just heard that he went to enlist last year. Ahh.. I definitely took an interest in Pentagon because of Hui but I will keep my eye on Pentagon even without him. Seriously though.... Hui is a great singer. Absolutely amazing..
There are some idols who can be great example for people from youngest to oldest. And I'm sure he is one of them. I just realized that I didn't make enough research about my works while listening his passion for his music. Also, anyone can get some encouragement by only watching him. I just hope they will get more recognition.

I have been a casual listener of ptg, and didn't really get to know them that much except for their interactions with my ult group, but for some reason (thank you universe, pun intended), yt recommended the Basquiat perf video to me and I got sooooo disappointed with myself for not having known this masterpiece! The entire song was so good in and by itself, but their perf video and even more, the live stage, was just so freaking good, I always get chills. I was already starting to listen to more of their songs (I love Daisy a lot! And Hui and Kino kept pulling me in lol) but Basquiat made me stan them. Now I'm a baby uni, and day by day, I just get more amazed with their talents.
